Indeed they cycle through the most amazing places - I imagine they don't get to appreciate them! On Thursday we were delighted to see them cycle right past a chambre d'hote we have stayed at on three occasions.
Most amazing is their ability to cycle steep inclines like the Col du Tourmalet - it's even heavy going in a car!!
Yes the Pyrenean scenery is harsh: very different from the Alps. Similar to the contrast between the N york Moors and the Dales.
