Description
Ok, this is a compilation on some notes I have taken over the past 5 years or so. This is a tiny snippit of that information. I have reams and reams of information to go through and organize. I want to publish a book on my ideas.no one has ever publish an anatomy book based primarily on women. Sure there have been "how to draw Comic Females" and "how to draw Anime Females" But never a "How to draw female anatomy" book.
So tell me if you think these patterns are useful. Let me know if the help you draw females better.

I find women so difficult to draw, especially digitally. I think its because they are smooth (more graceful) and the lines are harder to get right where men are bulky and have more defined shapes that can easily be blocked out. I want to master a digital drawing I'm working on. I just need to get the body right before I world on the detail. Also breast are a bit difficult for depth reasons.

I hear you. I have been drawing primarily women for over 20 years and I STILL keep screwing things up. But men...meh! They are so much easier. I think the powers that be made drawing women so difficult because if they were too easy, we would all create such amazing beautiful creatures that our brains would explode and the course of mankind would spiral down back to the age of cavemen. Just a theory.....

This is pretty awesome and many of us would like you publish. I would urge you to publish an eBook yourself rather than go the tradition paper book route, though. Many of us (myself included) would offer help if you don't have time to do it all by yourself. I co-authored a physical book once and it was very disappointing. Unless you're Rowling, they won't proof-read it, they won't promote it, they will take most of the money from the sales (and probably still won't make profit). With eBook you can cut the brick-and-mortar 19th century middle-man and publish yourself directly, keep most of the money, sell it at much lower price point, thus attracting many more followers and building yourself a name. The traditional book limitations won't apply to you : e.g. you can put as many color plates there as you want, and there's no need to guesstimate how many books to pre-print. You can make it interactive. Depending on how you sell, it may be easy to make corrections. If you publish for Kindle or iPad, piracy isn't a big issue - and I can't see any other significant drawbacks.

You make very good points. Right now the set back is mostly how to organize the content. I want it to be more comprehensive than these tutorials. I also want to include a "how to draw" section in the beginning. This way the person using the material has a one-stop place to learn how to draw people. From the use of the patterns on down to how to use the pencil/etc.

You should make a "anatomy" tutorial book...like the person mentioned below me, if it is on the shelves I would buy it. I'm tired of seeing shitty "how to draw animu" books by christopher hart all over the place, it's gotten to the point where I stopped going to the book store for how to books to learn how to draw on my own by observing what other professionals do. Keep up the good work, I gave you a watch, as well.

Thank you very much for posting this. I'm a beginning artist, so when I try to draw bodies properly I fail miserably. This has assisted me greatly.

Very useful, particularly for how slim muscles line up on a female skeletal structure.

Very handy notations! I like that youve explicitly shown how to draw the lines and the best direction to draw them.
Personally in references I like to see quantity of diverging instances (so 50-infinity of variations of characteristics).
