2012 edit: I was thirteen when I wrote this, please excuse the obnoxious wording.
2015 edit: I would now recommend drawing the 'swoosh' hairs more carefully than 'swoosh' unless you're drawing an anime porcupine

lol the first few steps i was like *unimpressed* Then it got the the fifth step and i was like

It looks REALLY good! The fifth step actually reminds me a LOT of rabbit fur
And i love how you did the colour 
About how long do you spend on drawing fur? I want to do mildly detailed fur, but im so shy of taking ages to do it xD lol

Yes, that method of colouring took a little working out >3> It used to be a big mess of desaturate and burn tools and multiply and overlay and ten million layers and agggh
Ahh, the tutorial would have taken 3 hours tops, but that was also with splitting the method up into steps, writing little happy-sounding notes to make it seem %100 more doable than it is and the layout thing. Overall that fur tuft would have taken about an hour at that giant resolution. But there are definitely simplified ways of doing it, still with this method c;
