Hoarders are a subtype of Collector within the Common Aethonite ranking.
Average Size: 5-6ft Tall | 250-300lbs

Hoarders are created when a Gooling looks out at the world and decides that power and survival are gained not through raw strength, but through the possession of material goods. They are an organized and sophisticated Aethonite with a highly developed sense of monetary value. They are skilled crafters, capable of growing as many arms as they want out of their backs to aid in the process of creation and retaining. Their species is the primary pillar for economics in Aethos, and runs the Economic Society which is responsible for making and producing all of Aethos' currency, and determining the value of objects in the world.
Individual Hoarders have the goal to amass a collection or "a hoard" of treasures. What makes up this collection varies upon the individual, however a Hoarder will fixate by primarily collecting things that fall within its desired category(s). For example, a Hoarder may decide to fixate on collecting precious metals and jewels, or perhaps they collect exotic creatures. Collections can be non-physical, where a Hoarder can collect things such as languages or rare knowledge, but this an uncommon practice as generally the purpose of the Hoarder's collection is to gather rare things and withhold them from circulation in order to raise their economic value in the world. For this reason a Hoarder may be heavily inclined to open shops in order to trade for more valuable objects.
Hoarder's are solitary, but form hasty alliances with one another. Each agreeing not to steal from the other's collection as a way to mutually assure their species' economic supremacy. This however does not stop animosity in the species, as Hoarders are constantly trying to one-up each other with who has the most, the rarest, and the most exquisite objects. Hoarder's may host parties for each other occasionally with the intention to just flex their insane amounts of wealth on their rivals.
When unprovoked, Hoarder's are one of the least hostile species of Aethonite. The average Hoarder will be happy to entertain travelers so long as their pockets run deep in one form or another. They are generally of the mindset that other creatures are more profitable when left alive. However, should a traveler steal or break into their prize collection, Hoarder's can be extremely savage, brutally strong, and quick to hold a grudge.
