Yeah I'd love to hear what his answer would be...even if Simba didn't ask in THIS particular moment, he had another chance when he had Scar cornered on top of Pride Rock... Damnit Simba. Didn't you wanna know why!? I did! Still do.

I too doubt very much that Scar was born evil, no one's born evil. Something extreme or a series of extreme events had to have happened to make Scar the evil villain he became. Of course, it seems that Simba didn't care about Scar's reasons, only that Scar killed Mufasa and ruined Simba's life.
Disney's whole "the bad guys are born evil" line of thought is dumb. Even Hitler wasn't born evil but became that way through a series of experiences in his life. This is why many North American cartoons and animated movies are so corny, the bad guys have little to no depth to them to explain how they became evil. Anime shows are more in depth with their characters, even their bad guy characters.
