Ellie had not had many friends in her 21 or so years of life; almost all of them had been her clone-sisters. The ones she'd grown up alongside, trained with to fight and to kill. Other people were generally regarded with suspicion or contempt. But this girl opposite her had-somehow-earned her trust as they spoke and walked around the base.

She'd been afraid of Ellie, who could sense it- she was used to that. But Red had gained confidence, and was easy to listen to, and a good listener. They wound up at an observation deck, where the air was clean and clear, and the view out to Jupiter was spectacular. It was Red's favourite place, one that she and her friend had discovered by accident when they were younger.

For a moment Ellie forgot about the AI, the mission she'd been given, and almost felt at peace.
"Your name's not really Ellie, is it?", asked Red. "Well, no. Your name's not really Red, is it?", said Ellie. And so they told one another their names. And both sounded strange, from lack of use, from deep unfamiliarity.

Daz 4.10 with iRay. An hour or so's render with Stonemason's excellent set. Used the built-in lights with a little extra either side of each figure for fill light. There's actually a tiny bit of atmos, but so little it's barely noticeable. Red's a G2F figure, Ellie's a G3F body with a Poser model head, re-shaded for Daz and iRay.
