Kimmie felt the tiredness leave her limbs as she moved on, hungry for new discoveries. They were finally getting somewhere.
The team's first day picking through the alien ruins had been uneventful until the discovery of the reactor complex. Here, lights once again shone, and a deep, comforting hum seemed to echo through the stone and metal around them. Tunnels snaked up at odd angles to either side of the "reactor", with Kimmie and Julia intent on opening another sealed passage ahead.
