Somewhat a personal experience.
When a game is advertised as open-world, why then go down the bread-crumbed road?

I directly went somewhere else and it didn't take long for me to notice a difficulty spike.
One of my first shrines off the starting plateau was a place with a trial labeled as 'A Minor Test of Strength'.
"How hard can it be?" I thought to myself.

I had some early-game scraps for equipment and lack of decent armor. Safe to say, it didn't go too well.
If this wasn't a game, Link would only get one try. And only damage in the shape of HP cuts is quite generous in this regard.

For Hyrule putting this much faith in me, they don't allow many mistakes.
