Description She stepped closer,

"Call me Selina..."

Her voice curled out from her lips like smoke and had the habit of sounding more menacing the softer she spoke.
Young Dr Ross tried not to flinch and nervously brushed a lock of hair behind her ear.
Selina Kyle tutted softly as she tucked Betty's hair back for her with those dangerous looking fingertips,

"Ah my sweet Elizabeth.. We've so much to do but have come so far already.  I couldn't have done it without you, 'Doc', any of it. I want you to know you will be rewarded..  When the time comes.."

"I- er, thankyou Ms Ky- er, Selina..  Just as long as I get my Bruce back, that's that matters to me"

Ms Kyle brushed the unsettled Doctor's shoulders once before resting her hands firmly there, locking Betty in place with a stare.  Her breath was warm and sweet against the overly air-conditioned laboratory

"You look tired Betty.  I'll have one of the girls bring the car around and take you home"

She lingered close a moment as if about to pounce.  Those hungry red lips twitched with amusement before sharply pulling away, leaving a now slightly flustered Dr Ross standing alone against the chorus of monitors.

"I hate it when she does that!" Elizabeth grumbled softly to herself as an awkward, angry blush crept across her cheeks.

In the corridor outside, the Lady Kyle held a slim phone to her ear, absently admiring how the light danced across the glossy manicure of her free hand.

"Have Dr Ross driven home for me would you?  Yes, bring the car around to the side..  Oh and Sam?  Have her watched. If she leaves the apartment..
..Tail her"

So will you have Selena killed off at the end of this?

Whatever happens, I'll tell it through the pictures though at this point, there at least five different endings that could take us into part 2.  Decisions, decisions..

True true, and good to know.

Just wondering but have you ever thought of doing fanart for say like a game or tv series?

Well, this is as close as I've gotten to fan-art so far I think.  I plan to include a few more characters along the way from various games/shows/comics etc.  I know some purists out there will not appreciate what I'm gonna do "But She's Marvel, and she's DC, they'd never meet! You can't have April O'Neil talking to Velma and Daphne!" Yes.  Yes I can.  One of the thing that appeals to me about comic culture is the infinite re-tellings and "what-ifs".  It's really just a huge playground for the imagination.
I guess what's stopping me from doing things like Game of Thrones etc, is that it's much harder to get a good likeness of a real person, and the costume details are so specific.  I like the idea of maybe doing some Fallout inspired work at some point.  If anything I'm more likely to produce fan art inspired by musicians.  Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have some beautiful lyrics and titles that conjour up visions of wicked and mysterious characters "So completely filled with light she was, her shadow fanged and hairy and mad".  Also every time I hear a Lana Del Rey song, I want to make a picture for it.  Maybe "Fucked my Way to the Top" would be a little racy for DeviantArt though...

I can understand as a person who is part of the Brony fandom, some people can never respect fanmade works because they are terrified of seeing beloved characters in new situations.  The best example that comes to mind is the MLP/ Fall"Fallout Equestria", which put most published books I have read to shame interms of writing quality. Although I will admit that fandoms do love to emphasize the romantic and depressing aspects of series, which I think stems from how we want to see series we watch grow up with us.

For fanart, why not find a scene from a series that correlates to the lyrics of the song. Although i'll be honest in saying I hate the nihilistic crapsack that is GOT.

Loving the backstory, actually. Much as your art is tremendous, you add a great deal more with the story. This is notable because a story-line can ruin the art if it is poorly written, trite in its sentences, unoriginal in its execution, and so on to the point that said story feels dumbly made, carelessly tacked-on. In the case of the latter, this results in deterioration of the quality of seeing the art itself, in which viewers have to either disregard the entire story to like the art or their interest is lost and the art you've spent hours working on winds up being taken less seriously. This is usually the case with storyline appended to artwork on DeviantArt, unfortunately.

But in your case, it's flowing great, adds a dimension and depth to the art itself. For example here, the line "her voice curled out like smoke and had a habit of becoming more menacing the softer she spoke" enhances the shadows, lighting, color and textures of the woman's skin, gives us a lovely additional dimension to understanding what it's like to be addressed by this woman in such a progressively murky setting, and the smile becomes all the more scintillating, all the more dangerous.

The story itself follows certain mechanics used frequently by a zillion other storytellers ("if she leaves the apartment...tail her. *DUNH DUNH DUNNNN!!*")...but that's not a bad thing here. This works. Interest is piqued. Because, like when any other storyteller who employs commonly used story mechanics, all that matters is if you're telling a story effectively. What's more, you stimulate interest to see what happens next.

The more you develop the story in a way that doesn't suck (which you haven't been doing thus far), the more excellent the action becomes. This is especially true of stories where part of the action involves transformation.

So...take your time.

Pacing is just right. That's my two cents.

Thankyou for taking the time out to consider my stuff and for typing it all down.  I'm really glad you're enjoying my attempts at nuance and detail; Good to know I'm not totally wasting my time there
To be honest, I'm approaching the writing fairly tritely by my own admission, but that's kinda what I'm going for.  "Porno B-movie meets saturday morning cartoon script in a pulp factory" would not be a description I'd be offended by.  I asked myself "how does one make a cat TF sequence without using all the old cliches and cheesey formulas" and then I thought screw it; Embrace the kitsch.  Cliches are cliches for a reason.  They work.  As the person churning these images out it's a great help to know people are out there, picking up on the details.

Hopefully I don't take the story in a direction that suck for you, but if I do, well, c'est la vie!

I don't recall any continuity in which Catwoman was a mad scientist.

Neither do I.  I'm throwing all the rules out here.  Although she's no scientist here either, hence the good Doctor lending a hand.  Characters may pop up in various guises from various universes, perhaps not in roles you've seen them in before.

Thanks G.  It's definitely something I can lose/spend a lot of time on, and am never quite sure about the end result by the time I get there.  Did the lighting look better 3 tries ago? Could I put another light source in to pick out some highlights?  Perhaps I'll change the colour scheme..  You know how it goes..

This kind of feedback is perhaps more suitable for a payset or commission, but as I'm doing this free, gratis, without funds etc, I'll continue to tell the story as it's intended.  While I can understand that the nature of your request is perhaps enthusiastic and supportive, it only serves as a reminder that you can't please all the people all of the time.  I would be more than happy however to help you get started doing 3D renderings of your own, as much of the software required is free these days.

Betty Ross, Selina Kyle... who's next ? Jennifer Walters ?  XD
That "Bruce" they're talking about, obviously, that's Bruce Banner, right ?

So many possibilities, so little time!

Although Jen?  Wonder what she's up to these days...

*Spoilerish*
Yes, it's implied that it is indeed Bruce Banner aka the Hulk, though currently unlikely he'll be making an appearance any time soon, or ever.  This is because I don't have a whole bunch of stuff for the male characters right now.  Currently he's just a bit of story padding.
Initially, I thought you wanted to make your own 'world' for this story, and you were using these names like 'I have no better idea'.
But now, I get that you want your story to actually be set in the Marvel Universe ? But... Selina Kyle is from the DC Universe, so...
Uuuuugh, head hurt. Gonna lie down.
