~DOWNLOAD FOR A BETTER LOOK~Sapphy-chan7 had asked me to do a Tutorial on how to shade. Then it became a huge thingy idk why lol.
But these are basics on how I draw <3
The wording can be a bit off, sorry. It was hard to get the words in but I did it. Hopefully this helps you! ;w;
I have been getting people asking me in notes how I draw so I just did this for simple measures. :'I
Nothing special.
The program I use for my art is Paint Tool Sai.
Gonna rest for a bit. Then draw for others later. Planning on doing a thing with mi baes later as well with our characters. >3<

A fairly straightforward and competent tutorial all around. Good material here for beginners to use. However, I disagree with artists who say that you need to create a new layer for every single colour. That's just overcomplicating the painting, and it means you have to scroll through an ever-increasing layer stack to find the layer you want to edit later. Just colour everything on one layer!

True you could just put it all on one layer. I guess if someone wanted to be more organized with their layers they would separate the colors like I do. For extreme artists such as yourself, you do all the colors on one layer! Which is outstanding how someone can even color detailed pictures such as yours just on one color layer c':

Colouring everything on one layer will be very hard for beginners actually! Coz the shading and stuff.. It'll get mixed up and ruin the drawing IMO. If you're an expert then it doesn't matter but if you are a beginner like me then yes it is very hard.. Especially when blending the colours! When they get smudged together it gets so messy and ugly o.o;
The only thing that matters is how you use it, the technique! If you have a technique then anything is possible~

I'm not sure how you'll mix the colours together. As long as you select each area with the Magic Wand and shade them in turn, there's no danger of smudging. I think what you're describing is bleeding from the watercolour brushes. This tutorial doesn't require that sort of effect, so stick to acrylics and airbrushes to prevent colours spilling from one area to another.
