Marital Status: Single
Age: Unknown
Ht: 6’4”
Wt: 280 lbs
Eyes: Purple Irises with Black Coloring
Hair: Jet Black with Purple Streaks
Appearance: His appearance is optional but his preferable appearance is a humanoid look.
Base of Operations: Back on the Imperial Star.
Personality type: Confident, Monotonous, Cruel, Borderline Sadistic, and Calculating.
Skills: Martial Arts Proficiency, Technology Mastery (Both Earth and Alien technologies), Assimilated Knowledge, Light Manipulation, and Tactical Genius in terms of warfare and strategy.
Powers:
Negative Energy: Starting out as having the capabilities to manipulate light, Nexus twisted this ability to become the ability to manipulate dark energy. This power was later explored as he went off Earth and began to travel in space. He found a pool of “Negative Energy” that was extremely toxic and corruptive. He spent months training and mastering this strange energy until he gained the ability to mass produce and control this power without strain or deterioration on his body. Since this power exists off world, most would be killed instantaneously by its power; however, the ones that do survive are sent into a very vulnerable, weak state.
Dark Matter Manipulation: The ability to understand and manipulate dark matter came after his bonding to the alien symbiotic species. The hive mind had assimilated species that had worked with Dark Matter, and as a result Nexus now carries those instructions. Nexus manipulates Dark Matter to various degrees as copying some super powers, being able to resilient in deep space, and even causing instantaneous death at the snap of his fingers to regular humans.
Black Hole Creation/Manipulation: Through techniques of a world he has assimilated combined with integrating technologies into his armor, Nexus can create and manipulate black holes. Most of the holes he creates are enough for people to fit through and are used as teleporting methods. He can increase them to be bigger; however, it takes more power to close them.
Power Infusion: Nexus can channel either his dark matter, his negative energy, or his black hole creation powers to enhance his body to preform superhuman feats such as having enhanced strength, enhanced speed, or withstand fatal attacks or blows.
Shape Shifting : His parasitic abilities allow him to take multiple forms ranging from exact copies of his victims or allow him to take traits or appearances from multiple victims. His need for the shape shifting requires an actual blood sample from his victims for precise accuracy.
Enhanced Speed/Flight: Given one of the powers he has genetically given himself through the parasite, Nexus can break into flight reaching into Light Speed with ease. Nexus uses his flight to transverse to and back his ship in deep space, avoid attacks, and even give himself enough force by this increased speed to stun and knock foes off their feet.
Osmosis : The parasite that he is bonded to allows him to absorb information, abilities, or powers through his victims. The availability of these gifts is determined by how long he has remained in contact with his victim. If the victim is completely assimilated into Nexus he gains the powers and knowledge forever.
Increased Intelligence: Through the parasite, Nexus is able to retain the memories and intelligence of all of his victims. The accumulated knowledge grants Nexus a level of expertise in multiple areas of scholarly work ranging from history to mathematics, from science to basic interrogation. He operates on a “hive mind” which allows him to retain information that his parasites can gather through their assimilations of creatures.
Telepathy: Having been hindered by telepathy before, Nexus handpicked a planet full of sentient lives that were telepathic entities. Assimilating them with his powers, Nexus now has a superior knack for Telepathy. His power is limited as he has to touch the person’s head to actually try to invade their mind. Another limitation is that he has to abandon his tasks in order to wear down the strongest of resistance. His soldiers can act as his outlet, but the limitations still exist even with an outlet.
Weaknesses:
Cosmic Radiation: Being a trade off at his bonding, Nexus is extremely vulnerable to cosmic radiation. Being close enough, it can fry off the parasite that he is bonded to resulting in the loss of his powers. Nexus does try to keep his defensive measures up by deploying a personal black hole to drain off the cosmic radiation; however, his powers will not be as effective if he is caught under the rays. The effectiveness of the radiation is judge upon how much is used, and how much protection Nexus has implemented.
Background:
Liti’trinium Iridatatum was the younger brother of the royal children born to a race of light bending species of aliens from the planet of Enron. For some reason the powers of bending light were not existent with him but his fascination for knowledge drove him to be at the top of the siblings. He spent his time with his nose in books ranging from history to mathematics to even the mythicism variety.
Since he was the youngest of the siblings, his older brother became the king of his species while the younger was outcasted for his lack of being able to carry on the family legacy. This further drove a relationship between the family, only having his sister to comfort him.
His life again changed when the Taarvinians and his people entered into delegations for peace. The negotiations went along magnificently, but Plasmodius the 3rd requested one thing from the royal family. Since the only daughter was of age and so was the prince of Taarvin, he requested an opportunity to expose the two children to each other to see if a possible love could blossom.
Sure enough, over time the sister began to fall in love with the prince causing Liti’trinium to be by himself. He took no knowledge of it and traveled with his sister when she announced she was leaving to seal the negotiations with the prince and become the next Queen of Taarvin. Things started to look bright for Liti’trinium as the queen soon found out that it would be highly unlikely that she could produce an heir to the throne.
Liti’trinium continued to dabble in the books of Taarvin as the queen and king tried to produce an heir; however, one day that changed when the Queen soon found out that she was pregnant with the next king of Taarvin.
Enraged, Liti’trinium traveled to the “Badlands” of Taarvin as he sought a primitive tribe. They told Liti’trinium of the past of Taarvin and showed him the location of the planet that a race of symbiotes resided. Eager for this new found knowledge, he told his sister that he was heading back home to help govern things for the king. With this lie in place, he took a ship and traveled to the parasitic planet.
As soon as he arrived he was ambushed by the symbiotes who mistaken him for a Taarvinian; however, he was soon brought before the symbolic alpha male of the race. Liti’trinium proposed a bargain to be in place. The two would bond and the various worlds would be for the Nicton, including their world Taarvin.
When the two bonded, Liti’trinium double crossed the Nicton Alpha and quickly took over the new union. With the Nicton’s collective information, Liti’trinium began to reshape his body and genetics. Using the new body, Liti’trinium had died on the planet and Nexus was soon formed. Nexus had opened his dormant powers of manipulating light and corrupted it to use dark energy. He also began to adapt his body to use a variety of new powers that the Nicton had gained through their journeys; however, that mattered little to him as the next objective on his mind was to raise his birth world.
Like a plague, Nexus’ invasion started as the symbiotes quickly assimilated the populaces of his home planet, Ectron. Nexus descended upon the planet and confronted the king after slaughtering his wife; the king was taken aback when Nexus revealed himself to be the scorned younger brother. Before the king could take action, Nexus pierced the king’s body and tore him in half as the planet soon fell under the rule of Nexus.
The next planet on Nexus’ list was Taarvin; however, it proved to be a problem. With the genetic manipulations in hand, Nexus couldn’t solve the problem of his new servants being burned away by the intense cosmic energy and radiation. He knew that revealing his hand would be suicidal and just left to conquer other worlds while he meditated this problem.
Back on Taarvin, a scout ship was sent; however, the symbiotes that tried to scout were incinerated by Plasmoid. Nexus took great interest in Plasmoid as his nephew started to show considerable power, but several planets were starting to fold under his mighty hand as his conquest was heeding its strive. A couple of decades passed and Nexus had successfully assimilated 7 solar systems and 3 galaxies. The parasites were making his powers bolster immensely and his knowledge was growing considerably; however, the cosmic energies still burned away his parasites like an eager flame.
Nexus knew that if Taarvin wasn’t dealt with, the inhabitants would rebel and certainly fold his rule. Nexus decided that the best way to cut Taarvin off from the cosmic energy was to slay the five elemental masters of the planet. Nexus descended upon Taarvin to the gladiatorial pits first. While on Taarvin, Nexus soon found out that he wasn’t assimilating the elemental powers and knowledge and quickly deduced that this could have been from the ancestry genetics making the citizens immune to the parasites.
Nexus battled the gladiatorial general and tore him to pieces shortly, taking the survivors and doing the same soon afterwards. He repeated this process with the arctic and volcanic regions; however, the news of the conquest quickly spread as the citizens were leaving the capitals before he arrived. The war turned very violent as the scientists were mobilizing with cosmic energy weapons that made the conquest a bit more difficult. Nexus knew that the only way to truly break Taarvin is to break the royal family.
Nexus staged an assault upon a key communications tower while he traveled into the palace himself. After slaying the guards he made his way into the throne room, then in the bedroom of the past king. There he saw his sister and her lover in the bed as he was flowing with electricity. With a swift swipe of his hand, the past king’s head fell from his shoulder, resulting in the queen letting out a blood curdling scream.
Nexus walked over and impaled the queen as he pulled her close, he soon began to fill her up with dark energy until she imploded in the bedroom. Finding no crown, Nexus deduced that his nephew took up the crown, thus having a queen to his own. Nexus strode up to the royal bedroom as he soon saw Plasmoid’s pregnant lover trying to hide in the bed.
Nexus was vicious as he slowly strode over to her, his tendrils emerging from his back as he had the full intention of ending the blood line. He impaled the queen and held her over the floor, but before he had his way of torturing her, Plasmoid barged in the door as he saw the horrifying scene. Nexus soon split the queen open as he stomped on the embryo that was the next prince. Nexus allowed Plasmoid to soak in the horror with a cruel laugh; however, what happened next was beyond Nexus’ knowledge.
Instead of Plasmoid being reduced into a crying pile, he ignited in a white flame as he blasted Nexus with a wave of pure cosmic energy, which sent Nexus through the castle and onto the courtyard. Nexus crawled to his feet as he saw the bedroom explode in a white blast as Plasmoid, now infused with cosmic energy descend to the courtyard. Nexus knew that Plasmoid was out for blood as the next few blasts tore away the parasite from Nexus’ body.
The fight could be seen over the battlefield as both Taarvinian and Nicton stopped fighting and watched the scene. The fight was long and brutal; however, it ended as Plasmoid unleashed a deadly wave of cosmic energy at Nexus. It didn’t kill him; however, Nexus was truly vulnerable as he was sent out into space. His body was severally burned and the parasite was almost burned away.
Nexus ordered a retreat; however, he did have one card to play as he sent a dark matter bomb to the planet, erupting, to force it into a meltdown. Nexus’ body soon devolved into a small orb as he meditated and spent time recovering his wounds.
Nexus awoke several eons later as he found himself on a strange planet, quickly assimilating one of its citizens; he realized that he had landed on Earth, drawn to its lively populace. After quickly learning of what the new species was, he decided to test his weakened state against its best of the best. He quickly dominated the likes of the best; however, the Earth presented him with two problems.
With his vulnerable state, he wasn’t able to thrive in the sun for much time and that his foe “Plasmoid” had survived the planet’s meltdown and came to Earth also. Desperate to flee, he returned back to a warehouse and signaled a scout ship to bring him back to his imperial ship. Returning back, Nexus got as far away from Earth as possible as he spent the next two years bolstering him to unimaginable power, skill, technology caliber, and knowledge.
He decided that his conquest would still survive; however, he would need to change as this new planet and its defenders would prove to be a headache. He recruited the best of the natural, the technological, the enhanced, and the mythical power fields as he put together a “Dark Syndicate”. Nexus now drives this new empire as he aims to rule all living things under his thumb, or destroy everything.
Notes:
1. Nexus has graduated into a high Alpha-Class of Metahuman, possibly even venturing into the Omega Classification. With his capabilities to overrun, assimilate, or even break planets, Nexus is a conqueror on the galactic scale.
2. Nexus can communicate telepathically to his soldiers and generals through the symbiote. It offers a direct contact by tapping into the “hive mind”.
3. Nexus has a “Dark Syndicate” to his command. This consists of an alien gladiatorial powerhouse The Gladiator, an alien technological genius and technology manipulator known as Gremlin, an ancient draconian mage Brimstone, and a human assassin weapons specialist known as Beretta.
4. Nexus has made a policy never to go planet side unless a threat required his attention or to resolve a means to benefit his expansion.
5. Dealings with Nexus usually results poorly as Nexus doesn’t believe there is anything anyone could offer him; however, he does offer a fraction of his conquered territories to those who wish to join his hive mind.
6. Nexus, despite what he has earned, is still evolving and will assimilate races, cultures, or technologies he deems an improvement to what he has now.
