This lovely image was designed by Sean-Loco-ODonnel which portrays the first appearance of the infamous Nexus and his Nicton Guard. Nexus is a villain who is featured both in my galleries and in and is the nemesis for my heroic character, Plasmoid. The Nicton Guard is a term coined by the various races and planets that have heard about or have seen the acts by his top tier generals and himself on other planets. His generals start with the lovely femme fatal Beretta (bottom left) who is a human female that was augmented to be the tactical genius to the specialized squadrons of infantry soldiers and to preform intelligence gathering missions on planets ready to be judged or to be considered added to his long list of planets that he has interest in. Next, there is the massive Gladiator (back left) who is the muscle and is in charge of the first wave of heavy hitters when the conquest begins on a planet and the defenses need to be weakened or taken care of. Next, there is the mysterious Brimstone (back right) who is in charge of the supernatural and the many, many arts of the mystical and arcane that the Nicton Armada might run into in their campaign. Finally, to round off the guard is the technopathic threat Gremlin (bottom right) a cyborg augmented with advanced alien technologies his greatest weapon lies with his technopathic powers and his mind. To round off the picture, seated in the center of the group is the leader of the Nicton Armada, Emperor Nexus himself. Born from royalty, ostracized by his own people, and driven to become the man he is today Nexus is a force to be reckoned with. While he usually never makes appearances during the conquests, many alien cultures and races know his name and brutality he can inflict upon those who are unfortunate enough to challenge him and his cause.

I want to take the time and talk about the artist who designed this picture. Sean-Loco-ODonnell designed this master piece, and I couldn't be more impressed. Despite me often making nit picking adjustments, Sean has kept his head and produced a beautiful and stunning pieces that I couldn't be more impressed with. I encourage those who have the funds to commission his work; he is not only a talented artist but he is a great guy to talk to and work with.

I will reference these baddies again sometime this summer when I start my work on a story arc that features their official appearance into the canon and with its populace.
