Description
Here is Shu's Void Sword from Guilty Crown. I will be using it for my Shu cosplay at AnimeFest next week. This sword took about 3 weeks to build. I went with a simple design since I did not have a lot of time before AFest.

The sword is made out of 1/4" oak plywood and insulation foam. The plywood is to just give it extra strength. I also tried using a "colorshift" spray paint. It does not show very well in the picture, but depending on the viewing angle it will be a dark blue or dark purple. I felt it would give it a more "void" type of look.

I'm not too thrilled with the overall smoothness of the weapon. It has quite a few bumps. I over used the wood filler, which does not work too well in big gaps. I probably should have used bondo or something similar. Also, I did not apply my smooth cast 300 on very well. Besides those flaws, it still turned out pretty well.
