Oh, i saw that many asked how to shade. Well, I use this way:
1 - Fill the area inside the emoticon corner with any colour.
2 - Right click on the layer your working on in the layer palette and click on Select Pixels (;
3 - Compress the selection by 1 pixel;
4 - Pick the Shade Tool and have fun.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the shading... principally how do you do it?

i think i may make an extra tutorial on steps to shade it. you can resize your paint window and copy the exact shading pattern located on this tutorial.
