TOPIC:

Each designer can choose ONE (at a time, no mad rush like with the Barbies) to build an outfit around. The outfit must not merely complement or "go with" the accessory, but must INCORPORATE IT as part of a single thought. The outfit and the accessory must look as though they were made to be together.

DESCRIPTION:

After doing some research, I decided to go with something sleek, simple, sophisticated, and sexy. I went with the color pallette on the glasses (gold & brown) and decided to do a formfitting strapless dress that hits just below the knee. the bodice of the dress mimics the shape of the sunglasses frames, and consists of a ruched brown leather bust trimmed with gold piping. the vertical line in the center of the sunglasses also inspired the vertical lines seen throughout my design, such as the line going down the front and back of the dress, the line on the gloves, and the line on the back of the shoes....

on the back of the dress, brown "tortoiseshell" leather wraps around and kinda mimics the shape the ear pieces would make when they're folded up...once again, trimmed in gold piping. underneath this, there is a "U" shaped cutout to add some more sexy. on the bottom of the skirt there is a panel made of the same leather as the back of the dress.

pair it up with hot shoes & leather gloves, and you have a good going out dress...which is what I imagined when I saw the glasses. something hot to wear out when you want attention.
