I like the slacks and the peter pan collar is nice. It just seems a little childish or 60ish...try a pointed color for an edgyfeel. I'd trya mandarin collar...but it might be a little too daring. but try what you like. To be a little more daring (not sure how the other judges will like this...) why not make a sleeve that is long but can be detached into a wing sleeve (like above) and to keep it stylish, put a ribbon around the conecting part so it doesn't look cheap.I love the slacks. LOVE THE SLACKS. I'd like a nice oatmeal plaid for the pant. I like the first color scheme without the pastels in it. A nice warm color scheme. OH! And you could line the jacket in the really cool bright blue print, and trim the slacks in it as well for a big suprise! ...Sorry. That's just what I would do.

oo thanks for all the tips! i decided on a kind of motorcycle-jacket-type collar...i don't know the technical term, but it definitely adds some edge to the suit. the sleeve thing is a good idea, just not my thing, i think detachable things are kind of gimmicky. haha you have so many good ideas!

nice sketch!! i think that plaid might work better than pinstripe for the pants just because i aways feel like pinstripes feel more uptight (oh but maybe if the pinstripes are done in fun colors, it wouldn't feel that way...)

very lovely so far!

My suggestions are:
I wouldn't do a rounded collar for this. I think it might take away from the edgey feeling that this suit has. I'm not talking jagged pointy, but maybe a lapel with rounded points, instead of the collar looking like a peter pan collar.

and I got this really soft sweater-like top at the gap a few weeks ago and it's made out of 60% pima cotton and 40% model. It has such a wonderful, rich texture that I think would work well for you t-shirt!

and I like your bottom colors ^^

i'm not real sure how the collar is gonna look...i just want it to be different...i was kinda going for a more relaxed look rather than edgy, but i'm not sure how the collar is gonna pan out.

i think i like the bottom colors best too

Yeah, I understand, I'd just try a few things before you're set (which you probably know, lol) I'm just not sure about this particular one.

yay pretty colors ^_^

nice. i like the cropped jacket. i'm not fond of round collars though, but for this image, perhaps pointed collars may look more stringent and clash with the whole creative/non-conservative look... o_O; i don't know what angel wing sleeves are though. i can't wait to see the more polished version of this.

yeah i kinda wanted to give this a more relaxed look. not so uptight, and pointy lapels just didn't work on it. the sleeves are kinda wide. in glamour magazine, michael kors called them angel wing or angel sleeve...i dunno ....kinda 1/2 length, and wider at the bottom than they are at the shoulder. this is just a really rough sketch, but i'm glad you like it!

love the cropped jacket but some more details on it would be nice

I think that a brown and red and gold color scheme would be beautiful!

love the pants

oooo that would be a good color scheme! damn you colors too many would be fun to do.
i'm glad you like the jacket...there'll be details on it, i just never really sketch it. i mainly do basic silhouettes, and then the details usually come as i'm coloring.

I like this. I actually think the tee is nice, though maybe another fabric besides cotton would be good. This is more youthful business than corporate which is fine because I get that from your decisions in this design.
Do think about maybe incorporating a pattern or point of interest somewhere...I think it could be to simple without it. Maybe even a belt to define the waist would be great.

thanks! i'm glad you could tell i was trying to steer away from corporate, i was afraid it wouldn't come across!
i think i'm going to make the pants have a real faint kinda plaid-ish design on them, so they won't be solid, and there'll be some accents on the jacket as well.....i'm trying hard to not get a boring comment this week!

i love the croped jacket, i so want to do one, but it really wuoldn't look good with it so i'm glad that you did. i will say that the sleeves don't look very profesional, but i'm not very partial to 3/4 sleeves AND, they could work if you use the right fabric. BUT! i would definatly give her a blouse rather than a long-sleeved t. they are really really really boring and just as unprofesional. I love the contrast in the first set of colors, but the second set is really pretty. I hope this helps!

yeah...i'm kinda going for a more relaxed suit, not so uptight....so i thought that shorter sleeves would get rid of the stuffiness that is usually associated with a suit and add a little fun to it. the tee is definitely going to be in a different fabric than cotton or jersey....maybe silk, i dunno i haven't really thought that far ahead, since i sketched this in about 10 mins! haha, it'll be pretty and detailed so it'll stand on it's own with the jacket off though. i still can't decide on colors though! thanks for the input, i really appreciate it.
