Description This is an idea for a minimalist music player party interface that is easy to use on touch devices. The box obviously shows the current track, with the pause button next to it. The tracks above are those that have already played, and the ones below those yet to play. There are no skip buttons, instead relying on clicking on the next track or swiping if using touch. There are shuffle and repeat buttons in the bottom right and a close button in the top right. There are no options for playlist selection, this being done before party mode is evoked, and sound settings would be handled by the system.

Made in Inkscape 0.48
Fonts are Raleway and Open Sans
Background is one of the Ubuntu 12.04 defaults a little bit darkened and blurred.
Icons are elementary symbolic icons.

Don't worry, you aren't missing much lol. Songs about Jane was their best shot, the band went to a more funky style later (which is good but not as good as the first work) and then went down the road of shame with pop...

This. This needs to happen. I'd like this to be apart of my Rainmeter, so that whenever I boot up my pc my music is right there and ready to go in a sleek UI.

I look nice, i would like to see something like this as a "full screen" or "party" mode for Noise music player (on any other player)

Good idea, but why to show the time?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

spiceofdesign In reply to Algalord-Gnome [2012-06-01 09:24:32 +0000 UTC]

Mainly because I was too lazy to remove it, but some people may want to know the time, so why display it as a tiny thing in the corner.

too much space between song's name, artist and album in current track box.
Very nice mockup, but I'm thinking how could we use it in an desktop interface (elementary Luna for example)
But NIIIIIIIICE!

spiceofdesign In reply to d14gvn [2012-06-01 09:12:25 +0000 UTC]

Not really that much of an issue, you could use it with the scroll button to switch tracks and the rest should be clickable.

spiceofdesign In reply to 3duard [2012-05-31 18:21:20 +0000 UTC]

You have to remember this is a pretty small screen, so most would seem more albumns.

BassUltra [2012-05-31 13:44:23 +0000 UTC]

Alignment of the fonts doesn't look right to, and you have too much spacing from the album art to the text in the now playing. I'd like it to be 12px of space there.

Great and very cool idea! I can see people having this on a touch monitor in either the kitchen at home or on restaurants and bars.
