okay so
I had this idea and I just really wanted to draw it. This came from me wondering what an aquatic Pantala tribe would even be like, and I imagined it would be like lobsters or crabs - so then this happened.
I'm really not planning on making this a species myself, I just wanted to design it.

ShellWings don't have the big wings that are capable of flight, but they do still have the smaller "second" pair of wings that Pantala dragons have, and they use these wings more as flippers to help swim.

Shellwings don't like swimming in the open ocean - they aren't very fast at it, and they tend to feel very vulnerable (even though they're still big dragons with tough shell-like scales all over them). So they move along the bottom of the ocean and burrow caves for themselves. Occasionally they might go on land, but land dragons are pretty scary, so they don't tend to.

ShellWings can communicate kind of telepathically by touching their antennas or whiskers with one another. They also will use body language and sign language to communicate too. Speaking is kind of a foreign concept to them at this point, but they can still technically speak.

ShellWings also use their antenna to sense movements in the water, which they can do pretty precisely. They can see in the dark fairly well, but they also use their antenna to figure out their surroundings.

They're kind of a shy tribe honestly, and are freaked out about a lot of things

ShellWings have swimmerets, or pleopods, along the underside of their tail which they use to help swim, dig or even carry stuff as they move about. The tips of the swimmerets on ShellWings are actually hard and sharp like claws, and they can use them to scratch at anyone who attacks them, if need be.

That's all I really came up with them as an idea that struck me out of nowhere

Maybe if someone REALLY wants to continue ShellWings as a species, I wouldn't mind giving it to them? maybe
