Just a look at my little pet.Found him at my aunts house under a piece of wood, a couple weeks ago. He was just a tiny little thing when I found him, only about as big as a pencil eraser.
I took him home with me, and look how big he is now~ Just got the pet transporter thing at Walmart today (didn't realize it had huge cracks in the back -_-) and he's now excitedly roaming his new habitat.
I got baby carrots and some greens in there with him, so he should be set on food for a bit.
Next time I get mushrooms I'll give him one. He chows down on them~
Hopefully I can get him a friend. Hell, might breed and let people take some baby slugs. They aren't as gross as people like to think. They'er like goldfish, only you can actually pick these guys up and take them out of your tank. Slime is easy to get off with a sponge.
As/if I get more, I'll get a larger tank and more rocks and such for the habitat. Lets see if I do more posts on him in the future.
(Yes, I'm aware that slugs/snails are both male and female. But calling him/her an "It" isn't fun)

thats so awesome ;v; slugs are adorable and it feels funny when they move around your hand or arm i dont know why people say they are disgusting,they can be good pets too ;o;

It feels even funnier if its across your fingertips~
Slugs and Snails are probably the easiest pet you can take care of.
Just don't put salt on them, keep them moist, and feed them, and they'll live a long time.
They've got the ease of a fish, but you can actually hold them.
They don't bite (Might nip at arm hair) and don't eat a lot.

yes i know how it feels ^^ i used to have snails as pets, it all jsut began with a snail on my plants then i saw one on the street and i took it since it was in danger since people passed by near, it was near my house so i took it with the other snail x'D then woah in a short time i was full of baby snails hah they are fast at left babies x'D but yes i used to give them lots of food for all the babies they left

Yeah. Snails and Slugs reproduce worse than bunnies if given the chance XD

yes x'D but they are so tiny and adorable i kinda freaked out when i had baby snail moving on my hand ;v; so tiny ngh andwell, i said i used to because i gave them away :'D except for the parents but sadly one of them died then not to long ago the one left did too ;O; but i hope you get chances of breed him and get babie slugs XD

I'd love to get my little sluggie a mate. Do some breeding, show everyone "Hey, these guys make better pets than you think. They'er a lot easier to take care of than a dog or a cat, and they can't bite. Let your kids use one of these little guys."

haha that sounds like a good idea actually, so people dont say "eww it looks disgusting" i wish everyone would like slugs and snails as well as some bugs that they call disgusting just because in their view they look bad, for me they just look adorable :'D and yeah they dont eat a lot just have to be careful where do you place them or what you feed them

Honestly, its kinda sad. Ya look up slugs and snails to find care and... Its all methods of killing them.
I don't have any greens ATM, so I'm checking what flowers are in the yard, to make sure they aren't toxic. They aren't Marigolds, I believe they'er Poppies. I think they'er edible.

oh O: i wasn t aware some flowers were poisonous for the snails and slugs, well lucky back then when i had alll these bab snails i didnt had much flowers the little ones could eat :'D i would feel bad if any of them died because of it , and i dont understand why people see snails or slugs as pests ;o; they could simply put them somewhere else they can live if they dont want them in their garden and let them live but not kill them or throw salt at them and wait them for die, thats just a crude way of gettin rid of them instead of moving them to a better place

If the flowers themselves are toxic, then the snails will get sick or even die when eating them. But, we just found some lettuce~ I gave my 5 lil guys some greens to munch on. Donno if they'd eat basil XD
And there are means of deterring slugs and snails without killing them. I know marigolds are a natural repellent. mixing things like onion or garlic powder into the soil keeps a lot of things away.
But, I guess some people think killing is easier.

Their slime is actually pretty sticky. It doesn't wash off.

It absorbs water. Ya gotta use a sponge to scrape it off.

Dry sponge, dry cloth. Just scrape the slime off.

The urge not to get salt is hard...during the summer I pn the morning theres about 6 slime trails going across my driveway. Once one climbed all the way up onto moms car door. Ran out to her screaming at my to get rid of it. But ours are black with yellow spots
