I spent all day on this so you had better love it >:INotes
-I use Paint Tool SAI for all of my art. Photoshop is just for text.
-You get better at shading by do it. Look at the old tutorial and at the new one. Improvement was just doing.
Redid my old tutorial because, frankly, the old one is embarassing. My handwriting is so bad. Make's me so sad. Old version is below
