Description The bird a nest, the spider a web, man friendship.
~William Blake

For those of you not in Sydney, you should take a look at look at the local Sydney news, for example the Sydney Morning Herald . There is no white balance problem with those photos. They are not photoshopped. Believe me, I commuted through it this morning and am still looking at it out the window of my office building in the CBD.

There was a significant cold front that passed through from the west last night (coming from where all the good Aussie "red earth" is). It unleashed very heavy rain & wind last night, and then this morning... The whole of Sydney is blanketed in thick, orange dust!

I walked out the front door this morning at 5:30am and for a second wondered if I really was awake or if I was still in bed dreaming - it was (and still is) a very surreal experience. I'm partly kicking myself that I didn't bring my DSLR with me to work today, but partly glad too because cleaning out all that camera-destroying dust would be near impossible I think. But then again how often do you experience a morning where you can't see any blue anywhere...at all!?!?

Yeah, might be little bit more the sky but still whis shot is very good with great shape of wave and shows how the nature is strong .

This would have benefited from a second shot stitched in to show more of the sky. The water section is PERFECT but as an overall composition, I feel it could have been better with more sky.

Thanks for the CC, I really appreciate it. Yeah, perhaps a vertical comp from the left a bit more, looking more down the channel (I was shooting as wide as I could with the filter on). I think I had a few from that perspective, but timing is everything with the waves.

Anyway, I'll bear it in mind the next time I shoot there. Thanks again for the comment.

All good man. I guess if you knew you got the timing for that shot... you could have simply angled the camera up and taken another shot to fill in the sky by merging the two together. That way, you get a greater field of view with that perfect timing like you said! This is just my panorama mind talking now tho!
