Wow....that is just amazing! I mean the detail in his mouth is so nicely handled. Anytime I try to draw him it comes out looking like a bushy beard lol! But man, my favorite monster from Ultra Q has never looked so great. And nice work on the eyes too. Really intricate detail there. I always get reminded of that final scene in his episode. The egg hatches and it just starts moving around in the city with the camera zooming in on those haunting eyes. Fantastic work. Just made my day

Thank you so much for the in-depth comment and praise! I'm glad you liked the piece so much especially being a fan of the show and monster. I know how hard it is to hit the right visual cues on the page to translate well into a particular art style and still pay homage to the original material enough that it isn't totally different. Namegon has a relatively simple mouth and I added a few extra "whiskers" for effect along with the wrinkling of the surrounding flesh.

I'm also pleased you liked the way I handled depicting Namegon's eyes as they have a very specific look to them and you're totally right about them being haunting even for something as simple as they were on the show. I think it's a combination of the stark "stare" along with how inhuman they appear when raising over a rooftop or from behind a hill. Thanks again!

Oh I can't really praise that illustration enough though lol You certainly have a very detailed art style. And it is one that I have not really seen on a "kaiju" illustration before. Kind of makes me a little envious My style is nowhere near your abilities that's for sure. Hopefully you do another kaiju piece or someone has commissioned from you. Really though I can not say enough good things about this though.

Thanks, man! Even though I'm running seriously behind, I'm having a blast with my current commission list.
