Backstory:

Retroroar was born from a hot spot on the planet Velocitron. Straight from the moment he was born he got plucked up by a mysterious Decepticon scientists who was developing a new strand of virus. He used protoforms as incubators for the virus, planning on releasing them into the Autobot population and allow them to grow for as long as the virus allowed before it would activate and take control over the host. Before the scientist could release the the protoforms, Ultra Magnus and his team arrived to put a stop to the scientist. While the Scientist managed to flee, they would at least destroy his wicked experiments and save the protoforms.

They were placed into a nursery, but one by one they fell ill and sadly passed away, all but Retroroar. No one could figure out exactly why the poor little ones died, as the virus was so well hidden it could not be picked up by that time's technology and decrypting systems.

Once Retroroar grew up he was taken into the Autobot academy to train to become a warrior. He was placed in the same group as Optimus, and it was there they first learned to know each other and became good friends. Once the training was over they ended up being sent different ways; Optimus with a Space bridge repair group, and Retroroar with a team of Galactic scouts.

Many years later Retro was chased down by a small group of Decepticons to planet Earth where he crashes his ship not far from Detroit. As fate threw him a smile, no one else but Optimus Prime and his team of Autobots were the ones to come to his rescue and nurse him back to health. Ever since then Retro has become a part of the group and aided them in fighting back any troublemakers coming their way; Decepticons and humans alike.

It's no secret that Retro is incredibly fond of Optimus and happily displays it, Optimus does not seem to mind it, although he gets a bit flustered at time. Perhaps the future holds something in store for the two.

But, the virus has yet to activate....

Abilities:
• Light/Energy manipulation
He can warp light and energy particles to create blasts, light/energy constructs, and visually warping attacks of many kinds. His powers often manifests in a pixelated, fragmented, or glitching look if not specifically coordinated to appear as something else. While this ability is his main mean of attack he can also use it in a harmless way to warp light around him to create illusions.

• Data manipulation
For as long as Retro can remember he has been able to access and alter data found within non-sentient consoles and networks. This ties into his energy manipulation, and might be an explanation to why his attacks appears like pixelated or glitched graphics.

• Fire manipulation
Retro can ignite the air around him, as well as shoot and breathe fire projectiles.

• Advanced audio system
He can record, edit, and re-play audio. He got a library of sounds, mostly silly things and music, but also some few precious memories.
