Here's a reference sheet for who's pretty much the new star of the Transforms franchise and Optimus Prime's replacement after the Bumblebee movie's success.

Overview: As the little brother figure in Team Prime, Bumblebee is one of the smallest and physically weakest Autobots. While his stature allows him to do his job better than most Autobots could manage, he is self-conscious about his size. Maybe this is why he makes fast friends among the humans, especially the Autobots' long-time allies, the Witwicky Family. He looks up (so to speak) to the other Autobots, especially Optimus Prime, but what he doesn't realize is that they look up to him.

Personality: Bumblebee is a young and eager Autobot, a member of the last generation of Transformers to be created by the AllSpark before its ejection into space. He's full of energy and determination to do the right thing, and can always be counted on to volunteer for action. His small size, matched with his impressive speed, made him an excellent scout and messenger on both Cybertron and Earth. He idolizes the bigger Autobots, especially Optimus Prime and Prowl, and strives to be accepted by his peers. Bumblebee's grown to like and understand humans, particularly Buster Witwicky and his older brother Spike Witwicky. He also developed a love of Earth culture in almost the same way as Jazz or Hound, considering Earth to be his adopted homeworld. He can go underwater for reconnaissance and salvage missions. Although he's physically the weakest Autobot, Bumblebee's stealth more compensates for this inadequacy.

Stingers: Bumblebee has stingers that are capable of firing blasts of concentrated electricity. He can also use his stingers as melee weapons.
Blasters (Integrated): Bumblebee has integrated multi-cylinder ion blasters in both arms.

Wave Crusher: A jet ski and trailer unit that's towed by Bumblebee. It transforms into a jet pack capable of giving him flight capabilities.
Weakness: Bumblebee is weaker than most of the battlefield challenges he undertakes. This necessitates other Autobots rescuing him, which only worsens his self-image.

Full Bio (Updated): Born a few weeks after Declaration Day, Unit B-127, given the name "Bumblebee", was part of the last generation of Cybertronians that emerged from the AllSpark after it had producing life in a lull at the beginning of the Autobot-Decepticon Great War. Like most war-born bots, he joined the Autobots, where he served as a courier at Iacon while spending his leisure with his look-alike Cliffjumper at the races.

During Sentinel Prime's regime in the early days of the war, Bumblebee would eventually become an experienced sharpshooter and key member of Team Pax, led by the Autobots' founder and field leader Orion Pax and made up of Ariel (who's rebuilt as Elita-One), Dion, Prowl, Ironhide, and Hound. He would look up to the older team members Orion and Dion and would undergo training by Ironhide. Team Pax would break away from Sentinel Prime's autocracy and briefly ally themselves with the Decepticons after Sentinel began aggressively cracking down on the Decepticon-affiliated city-states with the use of Omega Sentinels. Together, the Autobots and Decepticons attacked Sentinel Prime's forces. With Sentinel's defeat, Megatron betrayed the Autobots and began hunting them down, but his plans were halted by Optimus Prime, originally Orion Pax who was given the Creation Matrix of Leadership by a dying Sentinel Prime.

After this, Bumblebee quickly became part of Optimus Prime's inner circle along with Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, Arcee, Bulkhead, and later Jetfire. After meta-cycles of war, with no end at sight, Bumblebee participated in many notable battles such as the First Siege of Kaon, the Battle for Iacon, the Tagan Heights Sieges, the Destruction of Paradron, the Battle for Omnitron, the Liberations of Velocitron and Caminus, and Operation: Doom Patrol.

Around 7 million stellar cycles ago, Bumblebee attended a meeting of Optimus's most trusted lieutenants, where the Autobot leader announced his plans to keep the AllSpark from Megatron by launching it into space. Bumblebee was uneasy with this course of action, but did not argue after Ironhide told him to trust in Optimus. Tasked with transporting the artifact, Bumblebee was caught off-guard by the AllSpark speaking to him before an ambush by the Seekers, destroying the depot Bumblebee was to hide it in. With no recourse, Bumblebee made his way to Tyger Pax where, despite a heavy Decepticon presence, Optimus managed to launch the AllSpark off Cybertron through the last remaining Space Bridge.

Without the AllSpark however, Cybertron's deterioration sped up. In a later mission, Bumblebee and Optimus fought off the Seekers in the ruins of the Grand Imperium. Once they'd been chased off, Optimus used the sorry state of the once magnificent structure to emphasize the great damage the war had done to Cybertron and the mistake he'd made in launching the AllSpark, declaring that they had to retrieve it and restore their world.

Four million stellar cycles ago, Bumblebee was one of the select Autobots chosen by Optimus Prime to travel aboard the Ark in a journey to find the long-lost AllSpark in order to repair Cybertron. Once they were able to track the artifact's energy signature to the uncharted Omega Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy, they were attacked by Decepticons and both their ships crashed in a volcanic mountain on a primitive planet known as Earth. In 1984, the volcano erupted, awakening their ship, which rebuilt them. Bumblebee was reconfigured to transform into a beat-up 70's Chevy Camaro.

Prowl led a mission into a human city to investigate their new world. Bumblebee, anxious to be the first to meet the planet's inhabitants, rear-ended a car full of teenagers watching A Kiss for Us at the Community Drive-In. Before he could introduce himself, he was under attack by Decepticons and damaged badly. One of the teenagers, Buster Witwicky, brought the car back to his father's auto repair shop. Bumblebee weakly pleaded to them to fix him, for he was dying. The Transformers Buster's father, William "Sparkplug" Witwicky, fixed Bumblebee and offered to help the Autobots convert their native fuel resources into a form that Transformers could use, and thus Bumblebee helped begin the Autobot-human alliance on Earth.
