Personality: Optimus Prime is the largest, strongest, and wisest of all of the Autobots. As the last surviving member of the Prime Lineage, Prime feels that his role is the protection of all lifeforms in the known universe, including organic life, as he opposed Megatron's grand scheme of using the AllSpark to transform Cybertron into an interstellar juggernaut to conquer the universe. While Optimus always has a calm demeanor, he's filled with many burdens brought by his position as Supreme Commander of Cybertron and the Autobots. First was ejecting the AllSpark into deep space, leading to Cybertron to slowly decay. Another is bringing the Transformers' conflict to Earth. Every casualty, human or Cybertronian, weighs heavily on his spark. He does not show this side to his soldiers and never succumbs to despair. The Autobots need a decisive, charismatic leader and that is what he gives them.

Integrated Weaponry/Tools:
Dual Ion Blasters: Optimus Prime has two ion blasters retracted from his arms which fired powerful energy blasts. Once fired, it releases a wave of radiation condensed into an energy ball that will destroy anything in its path. However, Prime prefers his ion blaster rifle as his primary range weapon.
Dual Energon Swords: Optimus possesses energon swords in each arm. He charges the swords via a quantum electric generator with a max yield of one thousand degrees Celsius and a burn rate of five kilojoules per second.
Energon Hooks: Optimus also possesses energon hooks that can be extended from his forearms in the same manner as his swords.
External Weaponry:
Ion Blaster Rifle: The ion blaster rifle serves as Optimus Prime's signature weapon. Only used by the Autobot leader when all attempts at peace have failed, the ion blaster ensures that freedom is the right of all sentient beings, and strikes fear in the sparks of Decepticons who are foolish enough to challenge him.
Energon War Axe: Optimus uses an energon-bladed rocket-powered axe with an extendable hilt as a signature weapon and for transport. He uses it quite efficiently, violently ripping apart endless Decepticon soldiers.
Bio: Approximately 10 million years ago on Cybertron, unknown to all, Orion Pax's spark was ignited in a lone hot spot deep inside a cavern in the outskirts of Iacon. Iaconian Senator Torenia happened upon the lonely Spark by accident following a quake that caused the ferry she was riding on to crash to shore. Torenia found it in a little crevice and took it upon herself to harvest the little Spark with some sentio metallico and assist in the deep coding herself until help arrived. After the rescue, the young protoform was taken to a facility where Torenia kept tabs on the little one. The protoform matured to a grown mech two weeks later, and thus Orion Pax was born.

Noted to be an usually large newborn, Orion's maturation was witnessed by the storyteller and head archivist Alpha Trion who felt the young 'bot would one day be the subject of great stories. Orion Pax had an easy life during the caste system as his truck alt-mode gave him a wider range of options for his place in society. From a young age, Pax excelled in intellectual pursuits, graduating from the Institute for Higher Programming and enrolled in the Academy of Science and Technology, where he met his best friend Dion, who would become a police captain at the district of Rodion, and his girlfriend Ariel, who became Alpha Trion's secretary. After his graduation, Orion found as an assistant archivist in the Iacon Hall of Records.

During the Age of Order (Pre-Great War Era), Orion would read and index information in the Hall of Records from the Communication Grid, but was forbidden to analyze it as that was left with cultural investigators. Speaking of cultural investigators, Orion would eventually become friends with Jazz of Tyger Pax. Orion began monitoring the transmissions of Megatronus-who would eventually be known as Megatron, and began a secret correspondence with him because he agreed with his beliefs. They had intense but friendly debates over the nature of free will and the dangerousness of their ideals, and Megatron suggested Orion learn how to fight for his beliefs. Orion began training with Jazz, learning to fire an ion blaster rifle and how to fashion an axe and a sword from subspace.

Orion made his first trip to Kaon to meet Megatron in person at his base. Megatron was the only gladiator who gave Orion a warm welcome. Terrorists began bombings in Megatron's name, and he made his first public announcement on the Grid, stating he was not responsible for the attacks and would bring the perpetrators to justice. Orion followed him up with a speech of his own. Orion trusted Megatron, believing if he were responsible for the attacks, he would have wanted to be associated with them. After Dion was several beaten and his colleagues Springarm and Wheelarch were killed by hired thugs from the Cybertronian Senate, Orion decided to confront the Senate themselves as he rigorously defended him and Megatron's ideals, even reviving the ancient philosophical phrase "Autobots" to describe the autonomy his brethren sought. However, he would be forcibly removed from the Grand Imperium. But Orion's speech had succeeded in reaching one of the Senate's members: Senator Shockwave of Protihex, who had for some time been searching for prospective new candidates to help free Cybertron from the Senate's and High Council's corrupt stranglehold. Arranging for Orion's release, Shockwave had his injuries repaired and a cavity for the Creation Matrix of Leadership added to his body, and the pair began working together in secret.

In the dark times that followed, as the Senate initiated the Clampdown, and the "Decepticon" movement inspired by Megatron's writing grew in strength, Orion continued to do his duties the best he could. After stopping a bombing staged by the Senate, Orion Pax and Akiba, another of Shockwave's handpicked wunderkind, founded the Autobots as a guerrilla unit fighting against the oppressive government. Dion, Ariel, and Jazz were the first to join, along with military policemen Prowl, Dion's colleague from Rodion Roller, local medic Ratchet, private investigator Chromedome, revolutionary Shadowkat, and a quartet of outliers trained by Senator Shockwave comprising of Skids, Damus/Glitch (who later become Tarn), Windcharger, and Trailbreaker. Together, the Autobots conduct raids on Senatorial military outposts and assassinate corrupt members of the High Council.
