Wow! This is such an interesting concept. I had always thought about it in reverse. I had taken one semester's worth of art classes and suddenly everyone around me was saying that they were self-taught artists, because they had never taken a class. But in my opinion, nobody can possibly be self-taught, because we are always learning from everything around us. We examine pictures and artists and processes and they teach us. We learn from the world. Nature teaches us, we simply study it. Every self proclaimed "self-taught" artist has been taught someway or another, whether by tutorials, library books, or most commonly, just seeing the world around them. Studying it and learning from it. I really enjoyed your approach to it and i think it's a fantastic concept! Amazing job as always!
