Hello, I have a question for you. How much time did you need to do this animation? I'm thinking about making a 2D animation for my last project on university but I don't know if I could do it alone. People say that I need a crew to do that. Well, I have a whole year to work, what do you think? Thank you.

No, you do not need a full crew. U can do the work all on your own but it'll take a lot of dedicated hours to complete it. It all depends on what style of animation your going for and how long the story is.
Write the story, do a quick animatic for timing issues and then begin production, it's very easy to animate it just takes a whole lotta time to do it.

Any part that's moving was illustrated, when he's just standing still, that's just one frame being held. Check out Amazon, there's tons of cool books for how to animate. Get into this stuff while you're young 'cause if the field of cartoons is what you'd wanna get into, it's best you start learning now
