I went to the local Walmart today. They have the printer paper that I usually draw on for around 500 sheets for a little over $3. The card stock is around 100 sheets for a bit over $5. So I was wondering if there was any major benefit to using card stock over typical printer paper.

Actually it should be 150 sheets for about $5.77 a ream - And the difference is, 1) I enjoy drawing on it better due to texture of the paper over regular copy paper and 2) It's Acid Free paper. So don't expect the paper to yellow out after like 20 years

So is the Maracca Bandito your alter ego?!

Nice tutorial. I agree with you on the sketching subject. I've seen artists burn themselves out on trying to make every line perfect. Sometimes it's just fun to sketch, because in reality no one is really going to notice your small mistakes.

gotta say i enjoyed and took everything to heart...

bu something bugged me...
you established a light source to somewhere around the top left corner... but the light spot on the eye is on the top right corner... this is the most important thing i look for in pictures... cuz light sources and light spots are very tricky and easylly go wacky...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StevenSanchez In reply to MangaAngel [2008-04-13 19:04:52 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but you have to account for hair that's over the eye if that doesn't do it for ya, try this one....Ahem... It's art and it's subjective If that one doesn't work either... It's abstract

Sanovision on demand,... interesting... 1 questions i have, i see you don't pipe or line out your idea before you draw, do you just invision your picture before you draw it? or is it just as you go...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

StevenSanchez In reply to Exergys [2008-04-13 05:37:01 +0000 UTC]

A little of both, remember, there's no actual rules to this game of drawing But I'll talk more about that in the next vid.
