Finally found some time today to try this Deadpool piece. Dunno how well this works with my pencils but I tried to do Deadpool justice. Hope I don't piss off the d-pool fans too badly. Ditto to the Cook fans...Ah hell, I don't care!! I don't think Dane Cook is funny, so sue me!!This is my submission for deadpool master jam.

I guess Dane Cook owns himself, but hey, who would want him, huh?

I've been a deadpool fan since his first mini series, i even went back and collected all the ones i missed including his first appearance. Awesome to see one of my favorite characters against a comic who does suck. he thinks he's too funny and he's not.

Also, Dane Cook steals a lot of lines from struggling comedians who aren't famous, and pays them off. Which is why his comedy is a childish mess of nothingness. Kinda like a kid's crayon drawing on the fridge. Just lots of random colors mixed together with clumsy hands, until it turns murky brown, like shit.

Hey, thanks for the links to Pajiba! It was interesting reading other opinions. That psycho-kinetic stage presence of D.C., with all the jumping around like a circus monkey hopped up on PCP irritates me to no end! The first time I saw it I wished someone in the audience would jump on stage with a frying pan and put him (and us all) out of our collective miseries.

Ah, forgot to mention that the yellow speek bubble is a great touch, and yeah, so in keeping with the character. Great job! (shoulda mentioned that straight off, now shouldn't I? Oh well, you know what they say about hindsight)

That's one of the things I liked about Deadpool. The yellow bubbles sets it apart from the others, so when there's a lot of action and talking, you can follow the thread of what the protagonist is saying! Clever, and I wish other books did it. Does Liefield have it copyrighted to Deadpool or something?
Anyway, this "pwns" to borrow a ubiquitous internet word!
