Released for the Winter Edition Art Pack [link] - Go check it out, there are some great artists including *niteangel , `computerologist , ~ pixiegal , ^hesitation , *syragon and many more.
Rendered in Terragen and colour corrected in PS. I would have liked to have been able to release a print version but have some serious banding issues in the blue gradients which are too obvious in the larger version, if anyone knows of a great way to overcome this, please let me know. I added noise and blur in this, but it is not good for the print.
Well, as always, I hope you appreciate this work and enjoy looking at it as much as I did creating it, and I would love to know your thoughts...
Update: Those darn cloud reflections..hmm, fixed for the print release. I still hope you all enjoy

I like it, but it is obviosly a render.
Reality has this essence of diffusion that is hard to mimic. Nice work though (I couldn;t do it)
Ok.... to try and explian why I can tell It;s not real...
I think that 3D progs do not make it easy to add 'atmosphere'.
That quality of air and light that adds realism. plus 3d doesn't accomodate fractal detail properly.

Well, the terrain is very realistic, but not the reflection in the water. Even if the sea is calm, there should be a breeze in such open space, so there should be small distortion's on the water surface... Just my thots tho... Dun be bothered~~

This is breathtaking, but I must agree with what a few people have said that the reflection isn't very realistic. It would not be a perfect mirror image because of the placement of the light source, and also the clouds are missing. BUT this is amazingly gorgeous nonetheless and definitely +fav for me! You are frighteningly talented!

So PS is the secret...I admittedly never had too much faith in Terragen, but this is exceptional. It makes me want to break out the program again.
