Description

Anyone else remember that very tragic episode of the New Adventures of Bat Man & Robin called Growing Pains? Poor Tim Drake/Robin found a little lost girl who he named Annie (after little orphan Annie) who has no memory and being chased by Clayface. Spoilers: She IS Clayface. He created her via his Clay to go out and scout around to see if it was safe from him to come out of hiding but when she got too far from his influence she lost her memory, in the end she was tragically absorbed back into Clayface. It was a tragic moment for Tim as he kind of developed a crush on her, as Bat Man tried to protect him.

Which of course despite being a one shot character, there quite a few fans who hoped they would bring her back in the comics in some way. She did get a cameo in a later AU episode of Justice League though whether it was her or just her model being reused is not really said. But yeah, us Annie fans would love to see her some how survive, be free of Clayface, and use her own clay powers to be a super hero.

An interesting question I like to wonder since it was never really explored: How much of Clayface was Annie? Was she just some kind of fragment of Clayface's humanity given form, or was she a really person brought to life by the clay substance? We may never know. But hey who knows maybe Earth 27 can do something with her? Maybe? Wink Wink.

I was actually reminded about this character by a talented artist who I asked permission for their by Glee-Chan . So a special shout out to them. ^.^
