Another shot of my Maria costume which I made and wore to cons back in 2009. The location for this photo was the Youmacon hotel and the hallways were a neat stand-in for the Lakeview Hotel. I'm really happy with how this costume turned out. I probably should have worked a bit more on the wig for accuracy, but I really stepped out of comfort zone for this costume and I'm glad that I did. Silent Hill 2 is one of my all-time fav games. I can't wait till the HD re-release of SH2 and 3 comes out next year. X3Photo credit - Stillvisions

I don't know much about the SH games, but this picture looks really cool and creepy

Thanks, but actually it was a pretty standard hotel hallway so it really wasn't all that creepy in reality. It was thanks to my friendβs awesome photography that the hotel has a creepy air to it. That's what makes horror Cosplay so much fun. It's putting a dark spin on typical locations. :3

Awesome job! Maria sure was creepy in the game, and the hotel section's atmosphere was very heavy the entire way throughout. I'm definitely picking up the HD collection since the games will have 5.1 (I'm an audiophile lol) and improved textures.

Thanks! Stillvisions really worked the location nicely and found some cool spots that gave interesting SH-like effects.
I can't wait for the HD collection. I think the improvements to the look of the games will be awesome. Hopefully it will give newer SH fans that never got a chance to play 2 and 3 a way to really appreciate what those games brought to the table and how they shaped the success of the franchise.

Agreed. It's pretty tough for newcomers who showed up a bit too late to the party to get a hold of these games nowadays. The PS2/Xbox copies are hard to find anywhere, and even if you can find them in a place like GameStop, they're probably in bad condition since they're used. The PC versions are known to be really hard to find and they're glitchy on newer rigs as well.
Next year will be the time to be a SH fan. Three new releases a month apart each, it's gonna be crazy
