Description
Another Alien and Predator one. I really love painting these guys and wanted to try and combine the images from two wallpaper graphics I found on the net and just make a few differences. However since been pointed to the excellent Alien Loves Predator site ( [link] ), thank you Kalmanen
Whilst I was painting this I kept thinking of conversations between them and giggling away.
Anyway, acrylic on canvas as per usual.

Oooh, y'know I've been thinking of having a go at painting other superhero's. The Hulk would be a fantastic one, it might stop me using so much blue . Any film with Edward Norton is bound to be bloody good. I was suprised to see him in that role at first but then read an interview that he absolutely loves the Hulk and was a big fan as a child.
Wouldn't mind doing a spiderman one too!

Well, I'm halfway through a Spiderman one Never again! His costume is giving me a headache. Transformers (Robot's in disguise) I never thought of and yet, they would be excellent to paint.
Cheers for the ideas...Lots to consider. Also at one time I wanted to do a realistic painting of He-Man and the gang. Might have a go at that some day.

I'm really exciting about painting He-Man...Need to finish Spiderman first. I should have done the black costume, but there is a wonderful poster with Spidey swinging through the city and I really wanted to have a go at that. It is actually close to being finished!

Alien and Aliens were classic sci-fi horror movies, Predator was excellent but can't really touch the other two and the rest of them (both alien and predator series and AVP) were either ok or poor, so I see where you're coming from. The creatures from these movies have so much potential -they are excellently designed and can strike fear into the bravest soul so it's always disappointing when their potential isn't realised on celluloid.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment though, always appreciated

Ahahah, you're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoy the comic so much! Are you on-date yet? #248 was giggle-worthy... especially the Simpsons reference
As for the pic itself, it's great like always ^^. I really like the feeling you have in these paintings, it really fits the characters (aliens and predators in general as well Abe and Preston ) This is actually so good that I could think buying it if I'd ever have such masses of money

Oh yes, I've read all of 'em and then read them again, just for good measure What was the Simpsons reference, haven't seen all the episodes? I know, it's shameful
You know I would pay actual money to see a movie done of ALP. Saw a good attempt on YouTube recently (one where Preston flushes the toilet when Abe's in the shower XD)
Well, I'll probably put it up on eBay in the future. Need to do this with all my paintings...I need space damnit!! They usually sell quite cheaply

Smell you later, of course! Nelson says it all the time
Ohh, I'd pay for that too. I would buy it, too. It would rock so much... something like Preston and Abe saving the world for doom or something as epic. That clip sounds funny, I might have seen it before ^^.
They do o_O? They shouldn't! And one sucky thing is shipping costs, the bad side of living in Finland is that it's freaking other side of the world from everywhere Except Sweden and Norway and Russia, but that doesn't really ease my mind. You can have my space, if I can have your money
I'm poor student moving to another city in two months and yet thinking of buying painting like that. Not a good combination, I'll end up under a bridge and that painting would be ruined D:

Of course! I'm such a div sometimes *imagines Nelson pointing and laughing at me*
I think a fan film would be excellent. The movie going public pays to see spoof films all the time, and I think ALP would be a more intelligent and funny effort.
They sell cheap sometimes, but only because not many people buy art on eBay (in my experience anyway ) I'm always shocked that many people buy prints instead of originals, and that I do not understand!
Postage costs anywhere tend to be extortionate. It's terrible. If only someone invented teleportation pods specifically for ultra-fast and cheap delivery for packages. That would be great.
Well I would love to have money to give, unfortunately it tends to go quite quickly on bugger all, but I remember when I was a student I didn't have two pennies to rub together! I was amazingly poor and lived on noodles Ahh, happy days. Good luck with the move to your new city, I hope it's not too expensive. To save money, eat only noodles!

You're right about that, Star Wreck is still as popular as ever I can't wait to see their new movie they're filming right now. Even though it's not a spoof, I'm sure it will be great.
Stoopid people! D: When buying originals of art, I'm all in for spending money (I'm usually huge cheap-ass :f ) because I think nothing is better support than paying a GOOD price for the original, getting something back to the artist and of course getting a great piece of art to the buyer Sometimes I think postage expences cost more than the stuff itself, I was talking with my friend about sending headphones to her (she's buying them from me) and we realized, that it's actually CHEAPER for her to come here BY TRAIN than me sending the headphones to her!
Yeah, and I don't even eat noodles I'm such a horrible student, I pretty much loathe everything that is thought as "student" food. I'll eat the wallpapers then... maybe few pieces of the floor from a closet or some other place no one can see it. Thank you, I hope the move goes well but I'm afraid I'm moving to more expensive city (I live in central finland now and moving to right next to the capital), where a student flat (there will be 1-3 other students living too) pays about the same amount as a small aparment here. So unfair, stupid school being in that city and not here

You know I had to google Star Wreck (I'm behind with the times, as always ) I saw a trailer and that looks excellent! Has it been dubbed into English yet? You know, fan made films are always exciting to watch as they don't settle for the predictable and money grabbing ethos that big corporate film studios do - they are always made by fans for the fans.
That's amazing what you said about the headphones I can't believe the postage prices nowadays. It's funny because there's a big thing made over peoples 'eco footprint' and trying to convince people that travel by car/plane etc should be cut down, but why should they when it's obvious that you can visit a new country in order to deliver a parcel instead of paying more to send it by post (where it could get lost, stolen or damaged) Unbelievable!!
It's always expensive living in cities. If I were to move to London or any of the big cities in Great Britain, I'd need to drag a large cardboard box with me for use as temporary accomodation. I hope you get on with the other students and it's not too much like 'The Young Ones'
Also, if you're going to eat wallpaper, have some ketchup ready to drown out the taste. Oh and remember some salt, seasoning is everything in cuisine

Hmm... I'm not sure! You should try to find subs for it, I don't think they have dubbed it. It should be for sale as a dvd, so I think at least that should have subs in english. It's a great and hilarious movie and Captain Pirk was opening the anime/finncon last year and it was just great when everybody in the audience (except us, we were late and out of order at that moment) did the "hail" for him when he greeted the audience
It's true! The postals for them is around 15-20 euros, two-way train ticket for a student is 25 euros... and of course, she'll be spending time with me etc, it's worth it But yeah, it's out of this world. I'm glad I don't use a car, because the gas price here is OUTRAGEOUS right now. On the news they say few of the cheaper airplane companies will shut down because petrol is so expensive.
Amen to that! I feel a bit two ways about moving... I'm glad that I get out of this town and more far away my family, but then again I'm really worried about the money, because there is no guarantee that I will get a job there and I kinda hope I could do without one, since I want all my energy on studying (and then photography & drawing/painting) and not killing myself with work. I wish here it would be warm enough to live on a cardboard box! But unfortunatly 2/3 of the year it's so FREAKING COLD that cardboard box is no good
I don't like ketchup very much either, but I guess putting some salt on the wallpaper... or I could take a piece of the floor to go with it. Everytime I ask do we have anything to put on bread, my mother says "put your upper lip"

I hope they do sub or dub It has 'my sense of humour' written all over it (judging by the images)
Gas prices are rocketing here as well. There's a strike by tanker drivers in the UK at the moment (Shell) so I don't think that will help matters much.
As for being a student, moving away from your family and getting a part time job - don't worry, I did exactly the same. Moved away from my family, got a part time job (in my second year when I started struggling for beer money) and believe it or not, it was fun and you have a sense of independence and job experience to add to your CV. I'm sure you'll be fine. Everyone tends to think the worst and when it comes down to it, it's a fantastic experience! I wouldn't trade my years a student for anything. Sucks about the cold weather though. In the UK we have rain and so cardboard boxes/temporary accomodation would tend to get soggy

[link] just get bittorrent, then you can download the english sub version! You're welcome
Here they are talking about putting down the "diesel tax" (= less pricy gas for "professional" drivers aka truck drivers etc)... Gladly here tanker drivers are working without complaints
Hahah, I just few days ago whined I don't have any money to go and drink my ass off anymore! I do it every... four to six months, now I can't do it at all Drinking at home (alone) isn't just as fun. As I am worried about moving, I'm really looking forward to it. I will be living closer to many of my friends (of course I'll miss everyone who is left here) and will have better chance going to gigs and horse shows (the bigger ones are always on the capital area) so it's not all bad
And living in another city ain't enough for me, I'm probably going to start looking for work abroad after school. Hopefully will get something from Central Europe or even better, the UK
Now that global warming is suddenly real, during winter it's mostly raining here too but the some northern parts did have SNOW just couple days ago. It's really freaky because the midsummer day is next week and it's SNOWING. In my home town it's raining -__- Which sucks, because I'm supposed to be going to a horse show. Rain, cold and photography don't mix well :F

Excellent! Thank you very much for that. Just watched a tiny snippet with Pirk chatting up a lady. Have to ask is 'Info' a take on 'Data' XD . Liking this very much.
Well, eeking out your monies is pretty much what being a student is about If you live in the UK be sure to invest in an umbrella although by the sound of it, it seems like you might be used to the rain! I wouldn't mind moving abroad someday. Haven't got a clue where I'd go. First off I need to make a name for myself and earn huge amounts of money as an artist
Yeah, then I move to Never Never land, befriend pixies and ride unicorns and the like XD.
I should have taken a course in special effects or make-up. Producing art for movies would be an excellent job. Scenic backgrounds, props etc...Ahhh, maybe one day.
Hope the weather clears up when you go to the show. Be sure to wrap up well and take a flask of coffee. (I'm going all motherly here) You don't want to be catching a cold before moving (you need your student money for materials, not medicines! Although Brandy is quite medicinal, so I've heard )

OF COURSE it's from Data, I think that is one of the most obvious ones It rocks. Watch it ALL at ONCE.
I already have a umbrella! It has skulls <3 I have pretty much everything with skulls... like a toaster. Actually it's still under the actual buying, but you get the idea. Are the unicorns pink?! If they are, I'll join you! We can think happy thoughts and fly together
I'm sure you will hit it as an artist, sooner or later! You are very talented, that kind of talent wont go unnoticed forever I'm sure the unicorns will loooove your happy-go-lucky paintings like the ones of Joker, Batman, Preston and Abe
What school did you go to? It does sound like a cool job, but getting employed to that? Probably not very big chance
Well, the weather was ok... Sun shined for a while but mostly it was cloudly and/or raining, my feet are killing me (seven hours of standing in [link] those) and 696 photos waiting (plus about 500-600 from wednesday) to be looked over again, then selection of the "best" (like my mother says, it's hard to decide what is a lesser evil when it comes to politics [and crappy photos!]) and then photoshop them and hopefully get something posted too. I have been procrastinating so much it's not real -__-
I had enough clothes on (two pair of pants, t-shirt, college shirt, fleece jacket and rain coat over that) but I didn't take a flask of coffee, since I don't drink it... Mother Hen I have been on the edge of getting sick since wednesday, when the mare and foal show was (not nearly enough clothes then!) since I'm a responsible worker, I only get sick on holiday
Brandy? Vodka makes everything better! Especially with some energy drink in it for the kicks... And materials, ha! When I was in vocational school, I didn't even have to buy ONE book
We got everything in huge stacks of prints. I bet there is few acres of amazon forest under my bed as school papers...

Ha me too, the pants I'm wearing at the moment are considered my "paint-pants". My friends love them because they get to hear a bunch of stupid stories on how they got the new color. Ex: The big white splotch was me trying to paint with the white bottle in the same hand as the brush--I know I'm brilliant.

Hahaha, I sometimes do stuff like that. One of my traits is actually taking the canvas off the lovely big easel I have and painting it whilst it rests on my lap, holding it up with my other hand. My carpet looks like a Pollock painting it has so many sploshes of colour on it. I also have a habit of letting my acrylics dry on my plate (cheap ceramic plate, but great when you need to peel the dried acrylic off it)
