Yup! Rorschach and Joker are like the two most awesomest DC characters on my list... quickly followed by Batman and Harley Quinn!
Amazing art, by the way!! It looks like someone hit the pause button on an Blue Ray disc! Totally incredible!

how nice! I still haven't seen Watchmen yet and I'm not familiar with the comic (as in I hadn't heard of it until they came out with the movie, but I have seen it since) but your stuff really makes me want to start! This is awesomeness!

They're both really good IMO XD Obviously the comic has more story, depth the characters, but given the movie's running time, it adapted it well.
Thank you so much mate

I can't wait to get it!! I love this scene in the GN and movie. Its so weighted. There is so much going on under the surface between these two characters and the whole mask killer thing isn't even the tip of the iceberg. Thank you sooo much!

sullen-skrewt In reply to Luthie13 [2009-10-20 19:22:21 +0000 UTC]
Well, fingers crossed that it gets to you soon There really is a lot of backstory between them. The fact that Walter had a breakdown and crossed the line from apprehender into killer probably marked the separation of the two as partners against crime. It's quite sad really but there were elements in both the novel and the movie that showed Walter was, for want of a better word, recovering from a Rorschach state of mind. Alas, it was Veidt's plan that put a stop to that and became the straw that broke the camel's back....and with that lengthy bloody lot, I'll say thank you for picking a great scene for me to paint and I'll stop rambling now XD

with so many of these you should do just frame by frame repaint of the movie, and release it as your work, you'll be hailed by artists from all around the world, years after your work goes into public domain lol.

I always loved the two of them together. If Walter had a friend, it was Dan. The scenes with the two of them are always so good.
Great image.

I think they both portrayed the friendship really well too, which you would expect as they both pretty much filled their characters boots perfectly.
Or should that be Rorshach who had a friend in Dan? Thank you!

Sorry, I bumped the wrong key and posted somehow. Huh.
Anyway, that was just so "Dan" to me. It was great casting.
And yes, Rorschach probably would have been more appropriate. I just felt weird using a real name for one and a mask name for another. LOL

Well I'll tell you what got me about Movie Dan, second to his wonderful acting performance of course.
I don't know if you've seen his other movies, but Patrick Wilson is very VERY good looking. But, with the added weight, glasses, bad hair and bad suit, you really couldn't tell. But, every once in a while you'd get him at the right angle, or he'd take off his glasses or smile just right and you'd be like "Oh wow, you're CUTE in there."
And that was just SO

sullen-skrewt In reply to VictorianPaperAngel [2009-10-20 15:55:23 +0000 UTC]
I've seen Little Children and I have to admit he looked just as good from the back as he does from the front Even with the weight added as Dan you could still see he was good looking.
XD so we got to see Patrick Wilson's lovely arse again, as well as Haley's rippling shoulder muscles and Goode's incredible eyes (and hair). Not surprising so many women liked Watchmen XD
