Description
Here's a biggish painting on canvas of Rorschach with his grappling gun.I did a video tutorial of this which can be seen on YouTube:
[link]
It's my first attempt so it's not great but I need to get used to it.
The quality is CRAP, but still you get an idea of how I work. The music is one from YouTube's playlist because apparently using Philip Glass's ' Prophecies' violates copyright (naughty me!)
Anyway it took ages to record, edit and upload...oh God, the uploading!!!!
It's acrylic as usual.

Thank you so much. I only wish the camcorder I used was better quality. Nevermind, if you squint you can see what it is XD
He's one of those characters I just can't resist painting, much like the Joker.

Per usual sick ass painting lady. You really have a talent for this and you have inspired me to experiment in painting again. Out of curiosity do you mix any mediums into your acrylics or do you treat it as a wash? Oh...and what type of brushes do you recommend?

Great angle--Usually I've tried to do angles like that and the object in the foreground looks blurred and the image in the background is sharp, or vice versa--But this came out wonderfully detailed all 'round. I think this is my favorite Rorschach that you've done so far. It's a great pose, you're lighting is always excellent, and he just looks so cool & badass Also, great job on the background (street & sewer)--It's so easy to neglect the background, but I'm glad you didn't--It really completes the piece.

Thanks so much! It was an interesting one to tackle. From the ref pic the prongs of the gun are really blurry and from there you get less blurryness going on until you've got the sharp lines on Rorschach.
The background was great to do. It's one of those things where I can be a little more abstract and a lot looser with my brush strokes.
Enjoyed doing it a lot

This is impressive!
Particularly where you blurred the point of the grapple gun and then sharpened the image in order to show depth of field. Very well-detailed background.
You always make such wonderful Rorschach paintings ///_^
