Right, this is part two of the three paintings being done for commission. Terminator is next. I'll be bloody glad when it's done!I struggled with this here predator, mostly because it has to have to look right alongside the Alien painting. The blue in the background looks darker than it is in reality and unfortunately something I couldn't quite correct on P.S.
I also had to tone down the highlights on his mask so it didn't stick out like a sore thumb next to the Alien painting. *sighs*
Mucho trouble. I hope I don't have the same problems with Terminator.

I agree that there's nothing like doing a piece of work and finishing it to a standard where you know you can't do anymore. It's finished and you go through a range of emotions - joy and utter relief that it's finished are a couple 
Every painting I do, I'm learning a bit more about light, shade, colours etc...and it's exciting! I think that's why I love to do it.

The eventual owner of these paintings wanted me to have his eyes shining blue and the arm countdown bomb thing. These are the only differences to the photo reference

Thank you! He took a bit a time to do, especially that mask, but now he's finished I can breathe a sigh of relief and start struggling on Terminator
