About three months ago I decided this would be fun XD I had everything done, even the text below, and the lineart so I thought I'd slap some color on it and finally get around to posting it haha. This is almost all my current OCs, excluding Nkosi, Ake, Shunken, Koh, and all the zodiacs~ I don't think I'll ever get to them though to be honest haha

Anyway, this is a really fun exercise and I encourage you all to do it! Also sorry for the shitty sketches XDD

Jo Morelli
--Chronic Hero Syndrome : Jo just can't say no to someone in need, even if the request is absurd. Which makes everyone around her think she's totally nuts.
--Playing With Fire : Literal; Jo's zanpakuto is fire based, and with her merge with Trickster she can mess with fire all she wants.
--Handicapped Badass : Jo's only got one arm, but that doesn't stop her from doing her best to kick ass and be the ridiculously idealistic hero that she strives to be.
--I Ain't Got Time to Bleed! : Jo's been injured so many times she just stopped caring about it. She's at the point where major injuries are only worthy of a sigh and an eye-roll... though this reaction is not shared by her friends.
--Graceful in Their Element : Jo is about as awkward as they come... until you get on the battlefield. Though she's a heavy-footed hulk normally, give her swords and an opponent and she can make it look like art.
--Cannot Tell a Lie : Since her merge, she literally can't lie- it's physically impossible for her because of her tie to Trickster, who never lies.

Eliot Rios
--Squishy Wizard : Eliot has a photographic memory and enough spiritual pressure to flatten her girlfriend easily, but don't make her run or physically exert herself for too long. She just doesn't care for physical stuff.
--Shorter Means Smarter : Eliot is quite short, at 5'4", but easily the smartest out of my characters.
--Badass Bookworm : She's generally seen buried in some book or another, but Eliot can still kick ass with kido if needed, and most people know it.
--Gratuitous Spanish : Eliot often inserts random Spanish into normal conversations, especially when in a heightened state of emotion- the language barrier is easy to forget for her.
--Covert Pervert : Secretly, Eliot is undressing everyone with her eyes.
--Unfazed Everyman : Though a major kido badass, Eliot is just a normal shinigami surrounded by all kinds of crazy nonesense: Vizards, Aspects, hybrids... you name it. But she takes it all in stride- by questioning everything to death. Every new thing's just a new discovery, and she's not going to waste her time being surprised about it!

Layla Vital
--Brilliant but Lazy : Layla is highly talented in many areas, but also highly unmotivated. If it's not work, dance, or sex she really could care less.
--Blunt Metaphors Trauma : Layla never quite got over the language barrier, and she butchers metaphors and euphemisms like they're McDonald's brand cattle
--Dance Battler : Layla's a dancer to her core, and her fighting style reflects it to the point where people don't think she takes battles seriously. (Most of the time, she doesn't)
--The Lancer : To Jo's hero, Layla is her foil in many ways: promiscuous to Jo's awkwardness, realistic to Jo's raging optimism, ect ect.
--Even the Girls Want Her : Admit it, you'd want to bang Layla if you could. Subverted in that Layla is pansexual, so she would want the girls (and boys... and androgynous peeps) right back.
--Good Bad Girl : Layla likes sex, plain and simple, and she doesn't give a shit if you think that's slutty. In fact, she thinks the stigma on sex is the silliest thing she's ever heard.

Matt Alder
--Knight in Sour Armor : Matt will be a hero, but he won't have to like it. He's become jaded and bitter, but he'll still do the right thing. Just as long as you're cool with him bitching about it.
--Hates Everyone Equally : Black, white, gay, straight, whatever. Matt hates you, so get out of his face.
--The Napoleon : Matt is the shortest guy, and years of short jokes have given him just a bit of a complex.
--Jack-of-all-stats : Matt's a well balanced fighter, and though he favors speed he's handy in all forms of combat.
--Good is Not Nice : On a scale of one to bitter, Matt is Batman. He'll save your life, but don't expect him to perform a follow-up.
--Jerk Justifications : For all the mean Matt puts out, he's taken much worse for himself. His human life was about as easy as strapping boards to your feet and going for a run. It's a wonder he hadn't given up on humanity yet.

Van Ryoji
--Jerk With a Heart of Gold : Van's a gigantic asshole, douchey, womanizing smartartass, but he really does care. You don't even have to dig that deep; for all his self-absorbed talk he still wants what's best for his friends. Even if they find him an insufferable prick.
--The Drag-along : Van didn't want to be a vizard. Hell, he was cool with doing paperwork all day, yet he constantly finds himself dragged into situations most shinigami couldn't imagine... all with a truckload of complaints.
--Lovable Coward : Van is inherently a coward. He's scared of battle, scared of dying, but he'll suck it up and put on a terrible poker face. And there's just something about him that makes people like him.
--The Charmer : He may be an asshole, but Van could charm the pants off of Yamamoto if he wanted to.
--Ethical Slut : Van follows rules... except when it comes to promiscuity. With sex, as long as everyone's consenting, there are no rules in Van's eyes. It's why he and Layla are such good friends: They both think sex should be enjoyed in all its consentual forms, and strict missionary position is for squares.
--Only Sane Man : Van is surrounded by heros, badasses and powerful things and creatures he wants no part of. But he's a part despite his best efforts not to be, so he's often the one standing in the back questioning everyone else's sanity.

Chris Perri
--Wrench Wench : Chris is a mechanical genius, and the inventor of many convenient items for the typical shinigami household. Too bad she was exiled when she invented them!
--Guile Hero : Chris doesn't need a sword to win a fight: She can guilt trip the most hardened enemy like a champion. Chris is a master of manipulation, and she can talk her way out of most situations before her opponent even realizes they dropped all their weapons and gave Chris a hug.
--The Pollyanna : Chris has been through some mentally scaring stuff, stuff that would break many people. Though she broke for a while, when she came back Chris was determined to keep her optimism going strong.
--Reluctant Warrior : Chris doesn't like battle. It's messy and horrible, but she knows it's necessary.
--Fragile Speedster : She's a speed demon, but one or two punches can shatter her endurance like glass. It's a good thing she usually battles with words.

Shinichi Oda
--Sarcasm-blind : Shin is so oblivious, it's like he has a sarcasm-proof shield around his ears. He interprets pretty much everything literally.
--Skilled but Naive : Shin's got an immense amount of talent and potential, but he's young and very inexperienced... and very pampered.
--Spoiled Brat : He grew up rich and spoiled, so it's no wonder he's still kind of a snot. His teammates are hoping to beat it out of him, though it's a slow process.
--The Ditherer : Shinichi cannot make snap decisions, and he drags his feet deciding on anything from tactics to whether or not he wants to get off the couch to use the bathroom.
--Butt Monkey : Shinichi is the youngest vizard, so of course he bears the brunt of everyone's jokes. His slowly deflating ego also makes him an easy target.

Grant Rostov
--The Medic : Grant is a master healer, and that skill far exceeds all of his other talents.
--Adorkable : Grant is awkward, super nerdy and oblivious to flirting, but he's just so darn cute!
--Married to the Job : It's how he lost his wife: Grant is completely devoted to medicine, which makes relationships of any kind hard to maintain with him.
--Apologetic Attacker : Grant is a pacifist at heart, and when he has to raise his blade on someone it's always with sincere reluctance.
--In Touch With His Feminine Side : Grant wears pink, he's sensitive, he cried during The Notebook, and his sexuality is often questioned. He doesn't care, they can think that all they want-he's still as manly as hell and he doesn't have time for society's dumb standards on sexuality!
--Gentle Giant : Grant is seven feet of pure muscle, but don't let that imposing image fool you: he's more commonly found hugging kittens than breaking faces.

Cory Barton
--Improbable Aiming Skills : Cory's archery skills are insane. On a scale from one to ten, he's the lovechild of Katniss and Hawkeye.
--Non-action Guy : Cory tends to stay far, far away from combat. His skills are better used in the analytical, almost-devious scheming outlet of things.
--Hipster : Cory is a raging hipster... and he was one before it was cool.
--Green Thumb : He's a master of plants- from identification to cultivation to combat. His zanpakuto is even plant-based.
--Brown Eyes : Cory lives up to his eye color: He's as trustworthy as they come, and he's probably the most stable person in his workplace.

Rae Morelli
--Good Old Fisticuffs : Rae would much rather settle any dispute with a good old bare-knuckle brawl. She's a sucker for the old stuff.
--Humble Hero : Rae doesn't want praise or recognition for her heroism- she just wants to be a good person and live up to her family name. Awards actually embarrass her to no end.
--Mangst : Rae has suffered a lot of personal tragedy, but besides a midnight cry-fest to herself, she handles it just like a stereotypical man: Drinks, brawls, and everyone calls it a day. She never lets on how damaged she is, because she's decided to be manlier than Chesty Puller.
--Hope is Scary : Rae hates hope. She always embraces it just to have it punch her in the gut with more tragedy. Because of this, Rae is suspicious of anything good that comes into her life: She knows it will just leave her in a heap on the floor.
--Guilt Complex : Rae is guilty. Always. It doesn't matter if it wasn't her fault; she feels there's always something more she could have done to help.

Fuu Hiyori
--Lightning Bruiser : Fuu is a warrior, she's tough and she doesn't have time to show any weakness. She just trained the weakness right out of herself. It's that dedication that let her meet her own ambitions to rise right to the top- after several obstacles of course.
--Pragmatic Hero : Fuu is a hero, but she's no idealist. She knows that sometimes to win the battle you have to do some shady stuff in the name of good. Her position often comes with decisions that often make her look heartless, but she doesn't care about image as long as the mission is completed.
--Nerves of Steel : Fuu is nicknamed 'Commander Frigid' for a reason: Nothing fazes her. She's as stoic as they come, and her face is permanently set on 'scowl'
--Death Glare : Fuu's glare is legendary in its ability to wet the pants of the most badass shinigami, and it's even rumored she can do it around corners.
--Lady of War : Fuu is a warrior, but she's got all the poise and grace of a noblewoman. She is trained to be calm, cool, and elegant in battle, especially thanks to the cold killing power of her zanpakuto's element.
--Iron Lady : Fuu is the commander of the Gotei 13, and she's about as no-nonsense and made of stone as they come. Her iron persona never quite leaves her, even in the privacy of her own home.

Jun Tachibana
--Allergic to Routine : Jun may literally be allergic to routine: If she's bored, there's no telling what she will do, and her division is never quite sure what she has in store for them.
--Non-idle Rich : Jun's absurdly rich: Her clan is not noble, but rolling in riches gained through simple good business. However, that money never went to Jun's head, and she wouldn't be caught dead enjoying typical rich-people comforts. She'd much rather be in the thick of chaotic combat.
--Eccentric Mentor : Jun has taken on many students, and she loves to teach... just don't expect anything coming close to resembling a normal training session with her.
--Proud Warrior Race Guy : Jun loves what she is. She's proud to be a shinigami, and proud to be a warrior. There's nothing in life she loves more than knowing what she is and what she is capable of doing.
--Super Speed : Jun's main talent is her speed- she may be old but she was the goddess of speed 'before that damn Shihon brat showed up!!" *cackle*
--Super Reflexes : To go along with her speed, Jun's got the reflexes to match- luckily, as it keeps her from slamming into trees and running over innocent bystanders.

Sosh Rostov
--Team Dad : Sosh is the mentor and guiding hand of his former team, and can't help but want to lend his guiding hand into every team he's a part of. He does have a bunch of wisdom to share.
--Retired Badass : Sosh is old, he's a former exile and he's getting too old for this shit. But though he's 'officially' retired, he still has most of what made him so badass in the first place, ready to whip out at a moment's notice.
--The Chessmaster : Sosh, above all else, is a tactical genius, and is usually the one pulling the strings on even the simplest of schemes. His team often found themselves pawns in some convoluted scheme of his, and they never found out until long after the mission was completed.
--Genius Bruiser : Sosh is big, strong, and powerful, but his mind is much more dangerous than his brawn.
--Mighty Glacier : Sosh is a bear- he's huge, and he is scarily strong. But, he is very slow, and his size highly restricts his movement. It's one of the reasons he would rather stay the chessmaster.
--Stone Wall : Sosh lacks speed and maneuverability, but his zanpakuto is all about defense and defensive tactics. He's the snorlax of his team: An attack sponge.

Tatum Silva
--Deadpan Snarker : About 95% of the things that come out of Tatum's mouth are pure sarcasm. Whether or not people can even tell if she's being straight or being sarcastic depends on how long they've known her and luck.
--The Last DJ : Tatum is a bit of a rogue, and doesn't like to play by the rules. It's what got her in trouble in the past, and why she never ranked up like her peers. Despite this, she has quite a legacy, though people don't often place her face to her achievements.
--Blind Weaponmaster : Tatum is blind, but she's a master with her chosen weapon. It can be surprising to see, as her apparence doesn't exactly scream 'warrior'
--Disability Superpower : Tatum's loss of vision has allowed her to greatly increase her other senses. Though she surpasses most shinigami's senses, it's not without major drawbacks. Her insane sense of touch has also decreased her once high tolerance for pain, and her ears are incredibly sensitive to disturbances as well. She balances what she can with her zanpakuto, however.
--You Are What You Hate : Tatum was once a proud, outspoken and progressive shinigami, and she had no tolerance for people that give in to temptations of power. Yet she fell victim to the very thing she despised, and almost destroyed the Gotei because of it. She now lives with that shame, and an inability to trust herself.
--Mind Rape : Her zanpakuto's powers tap into the nervous system, and it gives her power that can only be described as 'mind rape'.

Hiro Yoshida
--Cold Fire : Hiro's zanpakuto is plasma-based, so though many mistake it for fire it's not the same thing. A distinction he will happily correct you on.
--I Reject Your Reality : If it's not his opinion, it's not a fact. And if you don't accept that then you are just plain immature!
--The Hedonist : Hiro is highly motivated to meet his own needs. His happiness and satisfaction are priority one- even to his friends and his job.
--Glory Hound : Hiro is all for being a team player... as long as he gets the biggest chunk of praise and credit. He will even go as far as turning his own team against one another, and he's good at it. The pity card is his ace, and he uses it constantly.
--Entitled Bastard : Hiro believes he deserves respect and admiration, even if he doesn't put in the effort to earn it. He could be a great shinigami if he spent more time training and less time cutting down other people to make himself look good (or like the victim)
--Eye Scream : Hiro stabbed his own eyes out when they were replaced by Mayuri with his new inventions. Hiro went in demanding vizard powers, and came out with empty eye sockets. Tough bargin

--Allergic to Routine : Jun may literally be allergic to routine: If she's bored, there's no telling what she will do, and her division is never quite sure what she has in store for them.
--Non-idle Rich : Jun's absurdly rich: Her clan is not noble, but rolling in riches gained through simple good business. However, that money never went to Jun's head, and she wouldn't be caught dead enjoying typical rich-people comforts. She'd much rather be in the thick of chaotic combat.
--Eccentric Mentor : Jun has taken on many students, and she loves to teach... just don't expect anything coming close to resembling a normal training session with her.
--Proud Warrior Race Guy : Jun loves what she is. She's proud to be a shinigami, and proud to be a warrior. There's nothing in life she loves more than knowing what she is and what she is capable of doing.
--Super Speed : Jun's main talent is her speed- she may be old but she was the goddess of speed 'before that damn Shihon brat showed up!!" *cackle*
--Super Reflexes : To go along with her speed, Jun's got the reflexes to match- luckily, as it keeps her from slamming into trees and running over innocent bystanders.

Sosh Rostov
--Team Dad : Sosh is the mentor and guiding hand of his former team, and can't help but want to lend his guiding hand into every team he's a part of. He does have a bunch of wisdom to share.
--Retired Badass : Sosh is old, he's a former exile and he's getting too old for this shit. But though he's 'officially' retired, he still has most of what made him so badass in the first place, ready to whip out at a moment's notice.
--The Chessmaster : Sosh, above all else, is a tactical genius, and is usually the one pulling the strings on even the simplest of schemes. His team often found themselves pawns in some convoluted scheme of his, and they never found out until long after the mission was completed.
--Genius Bruiser : Sosh is big, strong, and powerful, but his mind is much more dangerous than his brawn.
--Mighty Glacier : Sosh is a bear- he's huge, and he is scarily strong. But, he is very slow, and his size highly restricts his movement. It's one of the reasons he would rather stay the chessmaster.
--Stone Wall : Sosh lacks speed and maneuverability, but his zanpakuto is all about defense and defensive tactics. He's the snorlax of his team: An attack sponge.

Tatum Silva
--Deadpan Snarker : About 95% of the things that come out of Tatum's mouth are pure sarcasm. Whether or not people can even tell if she's being straight or being sarcastic depends on how long they've known her and luck.
--The Last DJ : Tatum is a bit of a rogue, and doesn't like to play by the rules. It's what got her in trouble in the past, and why she never ranked up like her peers. Despite this, she has quite a legacy, though people don't often place her face to her achievements.
--Blind Weaponmaster : Tatum is blind, but she's a master with her chosen weapon. It can be surprising to see, as her apparence doesn't exactly scream 'warrior'
--Disability Superpower : Tatum's loss of vision has allowed her to greatly increase her other senses. Though she surpasses most shinigami's senses, it's not without major drawbacks. Her insane sense of touch has also decreased her once high tolerance for pain, and her ears are incredibly sensitive to disturbances as well. She balances what she can with her zanpakuto, however.
--You Are What You Hate : Tatum was once a proud, outspoken and progressive shinigami, and she had no tolerance for people that give in to temptations of power. Yet she fell victim to the very thing she despised, and almost destroyed the Gotei because of it. She now lives with that shame, and an inability to trust herself.
--Mind Rape : Her zanpakuto's powers tap into the nervous system, and it gives her power that can only be described as 'mind rape'.

Hiro Yoshida
--Cold Fire : Hiro's zanpakuto is plasma-based, so though many mistake it for fire it's not the same thing. A distinction he will happily correct you on.
--I Reject Your Reality : If it's not his opinion, it's not a fact. And if you don't accept that then you are just plain immature!
--The Hedonist : Hiro is highly motivated to meet his own needs. His happiness and satisfaction are priority one- even to his friends and his job.
--Glory Hound : Hiro is all for being a team player... as long as he gets the biggest chunk of praise and credit. He will even go as far as turning his own team against one another, and he's good at it. The pity card is his ace, and he uses it constantly.
--Entitled Bastard : Hiro believes he deserves respect and admiration, even if he doesn't put in the effort to earn it. He could be a great shinigami if he spent more time training and less time cutting down other people to make himself look good (or like the victim)
--Eye Scream : Hiro stabbed his own eyes out when they were replaced by Mayuri with his new inventions. Hiro went in demanding vizard powers, and came out with empty eye sockets. Tough bargin
