very great and emotive pic , you did a very awesome job on it and I love how you colored all too
and it's really true how we all change when we grow up... sometimes it's sad when we try to look back to the past because even the same things change their meaning and look

Thank you!
That is all true. I was looking through some of my childhood photos and writings when the idea hit me. I really wish I could go back into being a small kid, because back then everything was so much easier. XD

This pic is so.... ARGH! I don't even know where to start from! ><
First of all, you're cheating, 'cause I'm super 3mo and this kind of themes (childhood and adult life, regrets, what if..., etc) are my weak spot. So +100 poits only for that.
And I really love the soft colours, the way they create a misty background in the upper part: it really adds to the idea it's a long lost reality, something foggy who Ratchet doesn't seem able to completely grasp.
And the lower part, with the shadow hiding his face, the darkness that's gonna swallow him, the frown and the line on his faceplate, so similar to a lonely tear... It rends me speechless (and I'll let you know it's a very difficult task to achieve! C; )
I totally love the cold colours, and your lineless lineart is one of your strongest point, I think. And, if you ask me, you're delightfully getting better and better at it! ♥
So yeah, so glad you posted this pic! ♥

Awww thank you!
I'm super emo for this kinds of things as well, which is why they are a constant theme in my works. I may study hard sciences, but at heart I am a softy. XD
I tried to go for just that stuff you mentioned there. I also made sure that the lower pic would be made with extra crispy lines to make the contrast even bigger. I'm glad to know I succeeded so well :3
The lineless art is at this point something I both enjoy and hate doing XD I hate it because it takes so much time, but love it because for a talented fool like me it opens so many new ways to express things. An not just express, but make them look pretty too!

Nothing wrong with being a softy! ♥
And yeah, young padawan, the lineless lineart's road is hard, but it's worth it! C;
I hope to see more lovely pics like this one soon! C:
(maybe even a little bit happier, for the TFs' sake! XD )

Such a fitting testament to the magic and wonder of childhood and how it disappears.
It does bring to mind a wonderful track from Winnie-The-Pooh: [link]

You're welcome.
The song came from the direct-to-video Pooh movie Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin. Released in 1997, it was criticized for some frightening imagery that scared some kids, including myself. However, I have since grown up, and, when I watched it for the first time in several years, see the storyline as an adult, I cried.
It was also the final appearance of Paul Winchell in the role of Tigger, and also contains what I believe is Peter Cullen's best vocal performance ever.
Here's the song as heard in the movie: [link]
And, considering your nationality, here's the versions from the Swedish and Finnish dubs: [link] [link]
