Edit 12/23/20: Changed his birthday!Last but certainly not least of my pokemon OCs is Rakim!
He's the brains of the group and wants to be a pokemon professor one day! Before he started his journey, he was professor Oak's assistant. 
I have to say, Rakim is one of my favorites so far. 
Maybe it's because I tend to like characters with yellow theme colors...? 
Rakim is an earnest young man who serves as the group's guide! He loves finding out new information about pokemon and filling up his pokedex. Most of the time, he catches a pokemon for the entry in his pokedex and releases it almost immediately. That's why he doesn't really catch new pokemon often!
I don't usually pick English VAs for my characters, but I do think Miles Morales' voice from Spiderverse would totally fit him!
- He lives with his father Malik and his pet Purrloin before he starts his journey. His mother Taleisha passed away when he was younger.
- He is an earnest boy who loves learning about pokemon and wants to be a pokemon professor one day!
- He is from Unova, so he is often underwhelmed by the lack of tall buildings and cities around Kanto. He is also frequently yelled at for not taking off his shoes when he enters a house.
- He was Professor Oak’s assistant before he went on his journey. He is terrified of ghost-type pokemon and is scared pretty easily, but tells himself that it’s worth it for the sake of research.
- He is the tallest and smartest of the group. As an adult, he’s 6′8″ (203 cm)
- He eventually takes over Professor Oak’s research facility when he retires.
- His last name alludes to the Hawthorn tree, so he fits in with the other professors and their tree-related last names!
- He doesn’t catch many pokemon because he dislikes battling. Usually he releases pokemon after he catches them for the pokedex entry.
- The pokemon he has are pokemon who remained attached to him after he released them.

I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF HIM WEARING A LAB COAT AS SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE BUT IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE AS A FELLOW SCIENTIST :3c
AND YES I already loved him as my son but then I made him handsome when he's my age and I'M SWEATING NOW 
His color palette came to me the quickest out of all the boys I think 
Rakim is a pacifist who just wants to do research and not battle ;H;
