Description
So this will be the continuing work in progress until I finish the entire horse - so as not to spam everyone's messages. I did not want to copy over the other one as a few people have found the comments and state helpful.
Which I very much appreciate being able to give back what I can to the community.I had to make up the ears as in the reference photo his ears were laying down . So if they look funny to you let me know. All critique is highly appreciated.
I rotated the ears, and darkened the wrinkles on the muzzle to make them less noticable as well as work on the neck. I thickened up the one leg a bit and put it on a darker temp background(it looks better lol).
Corel Painter Essentials, Genius tablet. Referenced from my own horse and picture. 6ish hours so far.

I like it, except it almost seems that the leg is much too small for the massive neck/shoulder you've given him. I think maybe the shoulder on my left shouldn't have come out quite so far under the neck...I'm not sure, sorry =\ Something though

It is the angle of the reference photo - I noticed the tiny leg too lol, I was giggling about it when I posted the WIP up. I am making it bigger but I know when the whole picture is there it will look much better.

lol Haha, alright. Sometimes a bit of an odd angle can make for some crazy lengths or things in a picture xD

It could just be me but his leg looks a little too small for his body and his neck is very thick. xD It's looking great besides that though ^^

It is the angle of the reference picture - my gelding actually has a small shoulder and thick clunky legs which is why I giggled when I saw the tiny leg and huge shoulder as I posted the WIP. No worries I will fix it and balance it out when the drawing is a bit more complete.

Looking fantastic, once again! As a few others have sdaid though, something just seems slightly off with the horses left ear. I'm not quite sure what it is though

It was pointed too far inwards for sure - I rotated it back out and it looks so much better. When I get more done I will post a more finishe done with better ears lol.

man, that looks great! but actually I have to agree about the ear thing. its right one is nice but his left one looks kind of... well it seems to grow out of its cheek.
But anyway even with a not perfect ear this one looks just so realistic, well done!

I love it! I think the ears might be a tad too small though.And the one on my right, not the horses right, seems almost a bit too pointed inward, sort of giving a Kathiawari look.

no, the pointed in part is just the perspective, and they aren't too small, this is AMAZING anatomy. This looks like eitehr thoroughbred or quarter horse, and their ears are that size

yeah sorry I did fix it lol. The reference(with ears back) was a very stocky paint boy - with impressive so really lots of TB too lol. So good comparison!

Oh sorry I just got to this now - I have only done a few rare cases of commissions - right now real life(work and family) is taking up too much time to be able to do anything that important on time(I obsess when it is this meaniful, not sure if I can pull it off and all). I hope you find something worthy of him!
