I am a fan of the TV series, this sculpture is unbelievable!
It's imposing, it's menacing, it's a great work of art.
Ferrigno's Hulk is THE only Hulk for those who grew up watching the series and this piece captures the character perfectly.
Your knowledge of anatomy is really mind-blowing, I wish I had 1/5 of it.
I read the article about the statue, your version is so much better.
Too bad they didn't hire you to sculpt it, too bad it never saw the light.

Really appreciate that, lavalamp. Β I hope I'm able to do something with it someday. Β All the drama sort of killed it for me...kinda sucks when you finally make something that everyone likes and then have things go so badly with it. Oh well..Thanks again!

I think its about 17 inches hunched over.Β If it were standing it would be about 20".Β How did I become an "amazing sculptor"?Β haha I don't know.Β I used to draw a lot and I'm somewhat obsessed with anatomy...Ultimately it's just studying the reference materialΒ and not stopping until you get something right.Β I just wish I had more time and motivation to sculpt.Β It takes weeks of working for hours at a time to finish something and this is really just a hobby.Β I'll work on something for a while, get bored, see someone ripping off my workΒ and start on something else a lot of times.Β I'm working on finishing a Juggernaut now.

I don't know if I do anything better than sculpting, but I do a lot of other art related things....like write songs, play the drums, guitar and all of that stuff. Β I'm just not blessed enough to do the things that I love for a living, so its all just a hobbies until someone offers me a job or some money for a sculpt or something.

Have you tried to show your portfolio to one of those companies that sell collectible sculptures (e.g. Bowen Designs)?

If I were you I would create a portfolio with my best works and submit it to any company in the field. I think there are several, Bowen is just one.
The worst thing could happen is that you'll remain just where you are.

Yeah, I've been around a while. Β Im familiar with most of the companies and I've spoke to a few people that work for them, but I don't know if I want to work under a strict deadline while having a day job. Β I've heard they want you to finish projects in like a month and there's just no way without quitting my current job. Β Unless I worked for sideshow I think the work would be rather inconsistent and I'd be living from sculpt to sculpt.
