Aldís and Árvakr were ecstatic in the spacious arena full of icy cold snow.

Hope had walked into the arena, both Hototo's at either of her shoulder, calmly following her lead. She stopped in the center of the arena, turning to face them. She stared into the depths of their faces, embracing the bond she shared with both horses.

Silence filled the arena as she reached up to unclip their leads shanks and faintly the horses began to glow. Softly at first, their aura built as it came from the center of their soul. Hope took one soft step back as their colors began to brighten, the stallion to a brilliant pink and the mare to a confident orangish-brown. When Hope broke eye contact it was as if she was coming out of a spell and the two Hototo exploded with energy galloping away from her.

They galloped in unison around the edge of the arena, Their two personalities clearly seen. Aldís' gate was easy, confident and powerful while Árvakr interjected his stride with frequent bucks. Once around the arena, Aldis broke off from Árvakr and eased into a floating trot in the opposite direction while Árvakr slowed to a high action trot, lifting his hooves higher than a Saddlebred. They crossed in the center of the ring, their auras glowing to a blinding brilliance as they met again at the north end of the ring. Árvakr pivoted to follow his leader around the far side of the ring and both horses quieted again as they approached Hope who waited in the center.

Hope didn't move as the two giant horses approached her, their breath fogging in the cold air around them. Licking their lips they waited for her to clip their leads, first Aldis then Árvakr, their auras dimming slowly as their followed her from the ring. When the gates closed, the audience remembered to breath.

I'm trying to get as many entries done before the extended deadline as possible. I've wanted this show so bad and was so excited when it opened but I let life get in the way of starting on time and because of it my Hototo's might not be represented as well as I had wanted. I love them!
