Description
It took many months to heal the burns from the encounter with the dragon. Savannah had put her full faith in the heat potion to protect herself and Braydan but it just wasn't enough to endure the intense flames of the beast from the underworld. Savannah and Braydan both sustained burns on their faces and limbs, Braydan more that Savannah. It seemed like he willed the flames to himself to protect her causing his burns to be worse. This is an effect unknown to potion creators and it hasn't been studied so it cannot be explained. The only marginal understand we have is that Bray's undying devotion to Savannah allowed him to absorb all of the flames that would have engulfed her, taking the full for of the inferno onto himself. Most of his dragon tack was destroyed, the beauty in it's craftsmanship gone forever.

Their healing process was slow but steady. Savannah went to Bray's pasture everyday to check on his wounds herself and apply special Skagenrak salve that rapidly erased the bright red burns leaving in it's stead, little white hairs. Savannah's hair was also burned where embers landed but instead of burning her scalp, the magic of Braydan's heat potion caused the area's where the embers touched to turn her hair white. Savannah doesn't mind the effect in her hair, it reminds her every day the sacrifice her stallion made for her. Braydan will never dragon hunt again.

And with this image ladies and gent's, Braydan has solemnly reached the 200 kaaring mark. I've never had a character that meant so much and now here he is, scarred for the rest of his life, but alive and well and here to compete again very soon.
