Description
Fallout 3-themed Monopoly set. The custom-built game board is set under glass and housed in a 21"x21" lidded pine box (lid not shown, bears the Vault Tec logo and attaches via brass clasps on the sides). The box is built to be as low-profile and lightweight as possible, tipping the scale at (I estimate) about 15lbs.
The drawer on this one was constructed a bit hastily, and as such it doesn't pull completely out. Future versions will have at least twice as much storage space for cards, caps and pieces.
Property cards are printed on cardstock, though I am looking for something more durable to print them on. Also I plan on weathering them to be more cohesive with the set. I've yet to make the Chance and Community Chest cards, though I plan for them to keep the spirit and humor of the originals while being very Fallout-specific and featuring drawings of the Vault Boy rather than Uncle Moneybags.
Paper currency will done away with. In its place will be color-coded Nuka Cola caps bearing a number on the logo.
In lieu of houses and hotels I have different caliber brass bullet casings. I'm still up in the air about what to use for game pieces, perhaps each set will have a random assortment of found objects. In the future I would like to cast Fallout related tokens, but currently that is unreasonable.

Thanks everyone for all of the great responses and feedback. It blew my mind when a friend mentioned this made front page on reddit gaming a few days ago, I had no idea people were spreading the word about this as much as they are.
In response to the multitude of people asking, yes, I would love to reproduce and sell these to everyone who wants one. However, there are surely legality issues due to the use of images and named owned by Bethesda and Parker Brothers (they make Monopoly, right?). I'm contemplating inquiring about some sort of licensing agreement with them but I don't have high hopes for it because I doubt they want some fucker slapping their copyrights on shit he makes in his garage like it's official merchandise. I do at least plan to make a nice one and send it their way, as I saw a guy who made a totally rad laser rifle did with his prop. If they get a kick out of it it's the least I can do for having made such a bitching game. Anyway, here's hoping that I can someday find a way to spread these around with all the other fans.
