Description
This is a planet whose ..(just like our we always see only one side of the moon from earth...only one hemisphere of this planet always faces its 'sun'....so....one side is hot....and other side is frigid as u can see....Done with gimp,
Thanks to Duskblue for teaching me the 'lens apply' technique.....cool changing refractive index!!!!
Time taken = 38mins,

It's nice.It reminds me of a planet Aurore that I read and it was ruled by robots. Is there a conection?

Wow, nice planet. I think the part between sun and coldness has an eternal dawn (aurore in french)
And I like a lot the bright starfield and the little sun, that looks much more realistic than mine

that is just one ordinary g-flare....with reduced spoke and those lines....what ever u call that....

I really like the starfield on this one! And the planet has a really cool effect, almost like glass, that appeals to me...very nice in full view!

Gimp is a software, opensource, for windows/linux/unix/mac....and it is FREE....in some respects more POWERFUL than that expensive PHOTOSHOP.....

PLEASE GIVE A FULL VIEW...or injustice!!! ...u will miss the highly detailed planet (I used no TEXTURE....It was cloudrender!)....and..PLEASE GIVE FULL VIEW ...thank u! it is 1600x1200
