EDIT - This tutorial doesn't work anymore with Eclipse, since I made this in 2011. Sorry I'm inactive on dA and not sure how thumbnails work now.EDIT - This tutorial is a little outdated since it was created before the "Share buttons" existed, but it still works. I'll update it with newer images when I have time.

To find thumb codes now:
1. Go to deviation
2. Find the "Share buttons" to the right that have a Note, Facebook, Tumblr, & Twitter, then click the down arrow
3. Copy the code under "Thumb"
I made this mostly for the directions in :thumb174033030: Ooo look, another thumbnail! Let me know if you have any questions!

Usually it's safe to say that stamps are free for anyone to use, unless the deviant says otherwise in their artist's comments. c:

please help me!! I made myself a journal doll and want to put it into my journal. I copied the thumb code, it worked, but then it only showed the preview of my little 2-framed animation. I don't want it to show the preview, the preview is shit. I want it to show the whole thing. how do I do this?? is this even possible? please answer, I really need your help!

Hmm yeah it will probably only show the preview since that's what is set as the "thumb." If you were a premium member, then you could use the html code to show your image, but unfortunately I don't think that will work for you. :c I don't think there's anything you can do unless you change the format of your deviation to not need a preview image anymore...

I think it's because you're not a premium member, only PMs can use thumb codes in deviation descriptions. You can still use thumb codes in other places like journals and profile page widgets. (:

This is an outdated way to use stamps (small images) on your profile page. It just tells you how to get the code, but I haven't done an updated version since dA changed the deviation page layout.
