EDIT - This tutorial doesn't work anymore with Eclipse, since I made this in 2011. Sorry I'm inactive on dA and not sure how thumbnails work now.EDIT - This tutorial is a little outdated since it was created before the "Share buttons" existed, but it still works. I'll update it with newer images when I have time.

To find thumb codes now:
1. Go to deviation
2. Find the "Share buttons" to the right that have a Note, Facebook, Tumblr, & Twitter, then click the down arrow
3. Copy the code under "Thumb"
I made this mostly for the directions in :thumb174033030: Ooo look, another thumbnail! Let me know if you have any questions!

Like it says in the tutorial, it's under "Details" to the right of the deviation. (I haven't updated this with dA's most recent formation of deviation pages, but it's basically in the same spot if you look through this tutorial).

Yeah, they switched it a little bit and then switched it soon back to under Details again in a few days haha it was confusing but the tutorial is still pretty accurate now. XD

It probably only works for Premium Members then. :C You can use thumbs in other places like journals I believe, but I think using thumbs in descriptions and comments is a PM only thing.

Now just go under the deviation and find "Share," and then the thumb code is under "Thumb." I hope that makes sense. I'll update the tutorial when I get a chance.

ok, so, this might sound like a dumb question... but i've never used stamps before, you'll have to forgive me.
so, i'm trying to paste the stamp into a deviation description, but just seeing the code text instead of the actual stamp. is that because thumbnails just can't be used in descriptions? or am i messing this up somehow?

To get them to work, you need to put : in at the star and end with no spaces like...
