Well, the reason I can do poses out of my head is that I spend time watching animals and studying their anatomy, and practice drawing them in different poses from reference. Once you can understand the basics of that, you can do any pose that you can think of!

I'm a bit jealous that you draw her far better than I do, but WHATEVER. It's absolutely gorgeous and I must resist squealing with glee because it's late and I do not wish to wake my family. Anyway, I will practice and my kitty cats will become more cat-like and then I will have absolutely no reason to whine like I did.

the drawing is tiny! If Fjola was the size of the drawing IRL I'd be able to cup her quite comfortably in the palm of my hand. I didn't plan on drawing her tiny though, it just kind of happened. gotta love art like that. xD and yes I flatcolour then shade!
