NB: Still a Gemini, thank you: [link]I had some time, so I made a reference for Switch - something I've been meaning to do for quite some time now, as I've got a lot about her stored away in my head that it was nice to finally type up. Hell of a lot of work, but I'm pleased with it.
I'm glad to finally have some time to draw for myself again, though I'll get back to taking commissions soon.All the info should be on the sheet. I may make a sheet for the Gemini themselves.

What a cute and original character! It's like a cross of a small bird, parrot, butterfly, and maybe with a few traits of a monkey. And the colors! It really captures the essence of Gemini 
You know, besides the Celtic zodiac, I was thinking of doing all the others there are as well, in anthro form. And although I imagined the Gemini to look similar, it was nowhere near this awesome! I feel like I want to draw her now, or my own version of Cancer X3

According to the sidereal zodiac everybody is something else and all the personality traits are extrapolated too, so everyone wouldn't be what they are anyway

Yeah, especially since we're trying to incorporate the mythological, symbolic and elemental aspects of each sign rather than just having a guy with horns or a mermaid or something lol. Anything at all that inspires you would be appreciated! I've found [link] and [link] to be the most useful places for information regarding that. Mixing species could be fun, colour-changing sounds like it has some octopus or cuttlefish elements to it too - which are also arthropods xD
My bf is one too!! and I get along with them pretty well as a whole. I made him a character too, there's a picture of both our characters somewhere.

I would love to know where you get your ideas. xD She is absolutely fabulous, not only the idea for her character but her colors are really aesthetically pleasing. Must be nice to be completely ambidextrous!

Thank you!! She was easy to create because she's a personal character, and the more I thought about it the more ideas I got. She was basically the result of doing a bit of digging about what Geminis are typically supposed to be like, and finding out that it hit so close to home it was frightening - and then doing some research on the mythology involved and incorporating that. I feel narcissistic sometimes but the ideas I like most usually relate to my own identity in some way, as sad as that is. I do want to break away from that in future, though you can't always help what inspires you.
I wish I were completely ambidextrous!

Wow what an intriguing character! I love how her nose/face is very bird shaped and the way she can spilt anywhere, you'de never run out of ideas of how to draw her. what made you choose to have her bird like? I don't know a great deal about horoscopes, I know gemini are twins but are they sometimes depicted with wings? I've wanted to draw a creature with multiple arms for ages and now you've given me an excuse! ^^

The entire idea is fantastic, and all the details of it fit incredibly well.
They're the sort of ideas where, while crazy and impossible, have that realism and make enough sense that they end up becoming completely believable in the design. The split not working on her clothes, etc.- which, by the way, I adore how you drew it in the example! It's an understandable sort of fantasy-design, which always makes for the best creatures!
... I have no idea if that made as much sense typed out as it did in my head, but hopefully I got it across!

Eee, thanks love <3 She actually came to me pretty easily, like the best ideas do (which is more than I can say for how designs for other zodiac-races are going... >_>; ). I'm a little sad to admit I drew heavily on myself to create her, since I feel like a lot of my characters are too close to me and I'd like to branch out, but she was intended to be a sort of avatar for me and as a representation of all my typically gemini traits, so it's okay. I'd still love to do a lot more development on the world she lives in and her buddies and such, and there'll be probably more to see as my friends and I work!
(p.s. that Menagerie of yours looks pretty sweet, even if I don't manage to create a character for it I will be sure to follow along

This is the neatest, most original character concept I have seen in ages and ages. I love her! Very very cool, and I really can't wait to see more of her and the Gemini!
(Although I had a bit of a laugh at the oil gland thing-- I hope it isn't in the same location/used the same way as the avian uropygial gland, because the mental image is hilarious!)

Kind of! I wanted to make her just for myself, but it made my friends want to make their own characters based on their star signs and now it's a whole thing. Exactly what we're going to do with that concept, we'll see!

I like the term cusp-baby! I was born the day before Gemini, so sometimes, when I read my Taurus horoscope and it doesn't feel like me, I read the Gemini one and it fits. =3

I don't really put much stock in the little horoscope prediction blurbs you see in magazines and such like that, but it's interesting to look at dissections of the personality stuff and see how that relates and compares to you and the people in your life!
[link] is the site I usually visit, as it was very accurate personality-wise for me and that got me wondering exactly how accurate this stuff was for everyone else I knew. [link] is quite interesting too and goes into more detail about cusp-stuff.
