Yeah, I'm on the Wolf boards! I'm 'wolflover' (horrid name, I didn't have a regular internet alias back then, so I though that hey, I love wolves so that's what I called myself - I was like 13 when I joined) on the boards. Thanks! I want to do a graphic novel with all kinds of modern dog breeds in it someday, as well as wolves. I need to practice the jowly, floppy eared kind the most.

I'm really hardly ever on the boards, but I do pull my weight as an animator. xD I'd love to read this graphic novel, sounds like you've got interesting ideas for it. :3

I haven't started on it or anything, but the main character is going to be a wolf, but there's going to be (besides the wilderness setting she comes from) a sort of sled dog place, a sort of European fief area and then finally a war zone, so I've been thinking of breeds of dogs to go in each area. (Like mutts and huskies for the sled place and hounds for the fief place.) It's going to be set in a fantasy world (but not one with dragons or anything) that's like a paralell universe where humans can understand dogs, but dogs are still generally lower on the social order. I'm still working out plot and originally it was going to be like a soul finding story about the wolf, but I don't think that's interesting enough so I'm going to add in an element of 'she has to stop the war' or something. I'm going to start it after I finish animation school, so I can do all the characters and the backgrounds better justice. I want it to be nice like Kay Fedewa's BBA, but more anatomically correct and have really stunning envireonments if I can, because the rocky mountains are what really inspired the whole thing.

If I can, I want to join the Wolf movie sometime, but it might have to wait a while.

Sounds like a worthy project, and I hope that you manage to go somewhere with it. Waiting is probably a good idea - my own projects are put on hold for now as well because I have a lot going on in my life these days and I want to be able to graduate and start working and getting experience in my craft first of all. I wish you all the best with your own comic and story!
